I think the set list actually got worse as the tour went on, it's not often that happens. Usually it gets better as the artist realises what songs get the best responses, what works best in the live environment etc.

Did he ever address why 'The Girl With X-Ray Eyes' was never played? I seem to remember him mentioning that it didn't work well in rehearsals, or was that another song?

Surprising to actually see the number of songs performed on his first tour compared to his second.
I’m being generous and defining the “first tour” as running from the release of his first album until the release of his second. The “”second tour” runs from the release of his second album up to now
I haven’t included soundchecks and I’ve only included live performances where Noel sings lead vocal or shares lead vocal. Live radio performances and private gigs have been included.
Let me know if I’ve missed any tracks.
FIRST TOUR
01) AKA… BROKEN ARROW 02) THE GOOD REBEL 03) ALONE ON THE ROPE 04) ANGEL CHILD 05) DIGSY’S DINNER 06) DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER 07) WHATEVER 08) D’YER WANNA BE A SPACEMAN 09) EVERYBODY’S ON THE RUN 10) FADE AWAY 11) THE DEATH OF YOU AND ME 12) HALF THE WORLD AWAY 13) IDLER’S DREAM 14) IF I HAD A GUN 15) (IT’S GOOD) TO BE FREE 16) (I WANNA LIVE IN A DREAM IN MY) RECORD MACHINE 17) LET THE LORD SHINE A LIGHT ON ME 18) LITTLE BY LITTLE 19) LORD DON’T SLOW ME DOWN 20) MUCKY FINGERS 21) SHOUT IT OUT LOUD 22) THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE 23) SOLDIER BOYS AND JESUS FREAKS 24) (STRANDED ON) THE WRONG BEACH 25) SUPERSONIC 26) TALK TONIGHT 27) FREAKY TEETH 28) AKA… WHAT A LIFE 29) A SIMPLE GAME OF GENIUS 30) DREAM ON 31) WONDERWALL
SECOND TOUR
01) (IT’S GOOD) TO BE FREE 02) (STRANDED ON) THE WRONG BEACH 03) AKA… BROKEN ARROW 04) ALONE ON THE ROPE 05) BALLAD OF THE MIGHTY I 06) AKA… WHAT A LIFE 07) CAST NO SHADOW 08) CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA 09) DARE 10) DIGSY’S DINNER 11) (I WANNA LIVE IN A DREAM IN MY) RECORD MACHINE 12) DO THE DAMAGE 13) I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR 14) ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE 15) DON’T LOOK BACK IN ANGER 16) DREAM ON 17) D’YOU WANNA BE A SPACEMAN 18) EVERYBODY’S ON THE RUN 19) FADE AWAY 20) THE DYING OF THE LIGHT 21) IF I HAD A GUN 22) IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT 23) WHATEVER 24) LISTEN UP 25) LOCK ALL THE DOOR 26) RIVERMAN 27) SAD SONG 28) SLIDE AWAY 29) TALK TONIGHT 30) THE DEATH OF YOU AND ME 31) HALF THE WORLD AWAY 32) THE MASTERPLAN 33) WONDERWALL 34) THE MEXICAN 35) THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING IDLE 36) YOU KNOW WE CAN’T GO BACK 37) SHOUT IT OUT LOUD 38) FREAKY TEETH 39) ALONE ON THE ROPE

BBC Radio 07th December 2015 I don't think you can count I Still Haven't Found and All You Need Is Love, because otherwise, where is Tender? What's Dare? DARE is already on the list (song 09) as Noel shared lead vocals. TENDER is not because Noel was not on lead vocals.

Would be awesome if he played a song from BHN tonight. He said at the last gig when he cocked it up that he's not playing Champagne Supernova for another two years so who knows what he has planned. More than likely the exact same setlist minus Champagne Supernova lol

I think he'll play Heathen Chemistry in full and finish with a bit of The Fame

What joke was that? I might've heard it as well... I can't think now exactly what it was mate but I just remember muttering 'for fucks sake' under my breath. He did it on his first ever tour if I remember correctly, he always did the the exact same joke about Tim being American.

I'm done with Noel now as a live performer. I'll go the 'special' gigs but the ordinary hfb gigs are just that, incredibly ordinary. I just can't pretend to be excited anymore by the same mediocre and predictable setlists. I literally know when to pop to the toilet during his set. It's a sad state of affairs when the only point of a gig that you feel genuinely excited is when the crowd are singing along to DYNWIM before noel even takes to the stage. That really was special. I've never been more disappointed to be an oasis / NG fan than I have been on this tour. Im genuinely a bit gutted by it all

The NYC date was great energy but as I saw on social media the rest of tour Happened to be the same thing over and over again.
Honestly, I think Noel would benefit having smaller, intimate acoustic nights at smaller, intimate venues for the next round in key markets instead of running around at ridiculous festivals doing the same shit and having venues not selling. He needs to make himself desirable again and give people a reason for paying $$ to see something special. sad to say, but he is driven by the dollar, so if that's the case, bring on acoustic shows that feature back catalogue and current and we will gladddddly give you the cash!
His ego isn't going to take well to unsold shows and low record sales..... Part of why he is prob working with management on all this oasis refresh.

I think Noel only ever really shines in an acoustic environment. I'd love him to adopt a permanent TCT 2007/2010 vibe as a live performer. I just don't buy him anymore as a 'rock star', he lost that pasion a hell of a long time ago, maybe as far back as 1998! I'd rather go back and watch Noel again at TCT 2010 than go back and watch all 8 HFB gigs I've seen since! I'd never been more excited by Noel as I was around that time in 2010. In the years since my opinion on Noel as a live performer has plummeted, I never thought I'd ever be bored at his gigs which was sadly the case at Brixton.

Seeing Noel live doesn't do anything for me anymore. He doesn't seem to be bothered, and it shows. He plays the same songs, tells the same jokes, and does the bare minimum. 90 minutes and he's out of there.
Meanwhile, this year I saw Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam for the fifth and third time, respectively. Seeing the Pearl Jam and The Boss live are something every music fan should experience; they never play the same set twice, always switch things up, take requests from the audience, and play for sometimes over three hours.
In short, they give their fans their money's worth. They make their concerts an experience. While I love the man, I can't justify paying good money to see Noel half-ass his way through the same songs over and over. Having one or two different songs isn't going to cut it. He has the catalogue, and if Bruce Springsteen can play four hour long concerts at 66 years old, and Pearl Jam can play for over three hours while nearing 50, age isn't a valid excuse.
If he doesn't care about his concerts, why should I?
