Good song that was recorded poorly. That's hitting the nail on the head for quite a section of Oasis catalogue as well

I've never been able to fully enjoy the song just because the main melody is obviously taken from While My Guitar Gently Weeps. I find it distracting. It also needed a more developed chorus.
However, I still like it better than quite a few tracks on DBTT.

Listening to it right now.
I actually think it's a really good song, but probably a bit too similar to 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out', and about 5 other Noel Gallagher written songs now that I think about it.

Compare the initial melody with the "I don't know why nobody told you" bit in WMGGW. okay, then a million other songs have probably ripped off a million other songs.

I love 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and I have never at any point thought of it while listening to 'Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders'. Are you serious? (by comparison, The Masterplan's opening riff is nearly an exact rip of WMGGW.)

"Who Put The Weight of the World on my Shoulders? " makes me more think of A Day In The Life for the first two chords than While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional, but you can hear the influence. Reading back the post that you quote, I'm not sure I entirely agree now. It's true that I find the similarity in the melody distracting, but I don't think Who Put... is such a strong track anyway.

The instrumental version is so good. Spine tingling. Played loud obviously.

I haven't listened to this song for ages. I think it seems to be a forgotten Oasis song probably because it's only available on some album which was the soundtrack to a film which nobody really cared about. There was a great version of Cast No Shadow on there as well if I remember right. Again, I haven't listened to that version for a long time either.

Many years later… the production is way too flat. I like Sunday Morning Call than most on here. But both are equally flat and similar to that extent.

The UNKLE Beachhead mix of CNS was good.

The UNKLE Beachhead mix of CNS was good. Yeah, it was but I still much prefer the original version though.

This tune needs Liam vocals and a better structure
Feels like it's going to be a top tune for about a minute and then just has no idea what to do with itself
