I had a slightly weird experience lately, my psychic playlist, that tries to drive me crazy! I read a comment in a forum from a woman, that in principle she liked Tom Ellis, but not in "Lucifer". Tom Ellis, that reminded me on that beauty of a picture, that never fails to make me laugh:
And, I kid you not, in that very moment as I was looking at that picture of Liam-pretty-in-pink standing next to Tom Lucifer Ellis, Liam started to sing "Come on in, LUCIFER", "Girls in uniform", Beady Eye.
I think the matrix I'm living in needs a restart.

I was at a Hooters restaurant last night and Wall of Glass came on the piped in music feed. I went to a Hooters last year in Florida honestly not twigging it was a restaurant celebrating boobs. I was with my old man, and we aren't that kind of family, so it was a bit awkward. I did hear For What It's Worth in a Hard Rock cafe at Tampa airport though.

I can imagine that could get awkward lol! It caught me off guard as I go once a week (not because I'm a loser ogling at the girls but the food is rather tasty ) and I've never heard anything resembling good music there.
It's always Bon Jovi-eque crap, what followed Liam you ask? Blondie's "Call Me."

If you told me back in 2006:
We'd be getting this sort of vocal in 2018 from Liam:
There's no way I'd believe you. Amazing.

I could argue that the mix from 2006 is worse, but then again, Liam NEVER showed up to soundcheck anything. I don't see these two as all that comparable honestly. One is a stadium gig with a fully electric band and the other is a single piano and more intimate. Kinda like comparing Wonderwall from Morning Glory to Noel playing it like Ryan Adams on tour in 2011.... not really the same thing at all honestly. Dodgy in places vocal aside, I actually prefer the 2006 version with the whole band.

I still like For What It’s Worth, but I also still can’t stand the cringe worthy bridge.
Also this line is one of the best lyrics on the album, and I love how it’s sung as well:
“Somewhere in the crossfire of this whispering war Seems that I forgot just what I was fighting for.”

I still hold the belief that he’s auditioning for an Oasis reunion. The more critical acclaim Liam receives, especially from fans like us, the more Noel will be paying attention. If Liam can continue the fine balance of showing he’s taking everything seriously whilst remaining a rock n roll attitude, the more likely Oasis will reform. They may never reunite, but Liam has been laying the groundwork for it to happen. All the credit to him, long may it continue.

Could easily hear Liam’s voice in a track like this. Listening to AYW now I find that I’m not as big of a fan of the production on most of the songs, hopefully the next album sounds a little bit less polished and pop compared to AYW. I have a feeling he’ll want to avoid those vocally strenuous songs like for what it’s worth on album 2 and focus more on stuff like this, which is easier to do live.

Today on a local college radio station I heard “For Anyone”. I was blown away. I didn’t hear a single Beady Eye song on America radio at any point between 2011 and their breakup in 2014. Granted it was college radio and nobody listens to the radio but whatever. This was just as random as me hearing “She Is Love” on Q104.3 back in July of 2002. Huge NYC radio station and at that point radio still had power and influence.

Always loved the bass on that tune, especially when it goes into the rock n roll ending. Robert Been is underrated as a bassist.

I love Liam's voice in 2018, and watching them separately you can hear the difference. But when you watch them side by side and take the instruments out of it it is actually pretty similar besides the weird slurring and finishing lines early.

The 2010s have been a great decade for Liam's vocals and he just gets better and better. I anticipate the second album will be another step in that direction. I think Liam and Noel are better off apart but if they come back together and put together what each of them are doing, it'd be brilliant, but I'm okay with the way things are now (twice the material we get too!).

Wall of glass was a perfect first single but I think that Come back to me could've been even better as a first single

Wall of glass was a perfect first single but I think that Come back to me could've been even better as a first single I think wall of glass, even though it’s one of my lesser favourite songs on the album (but I still love it) was the perfect single to release. It’s captivated everyone’s attention, it was modern, catchy and it was essentially a big hit something that BE never had. I think BOLD should have been released as a single and greedy soul not and I wish paper crown had a better music video. Everything has been perfect

Pretty Green need to release a women's range. I'm not asking for a full revamp of their catalogue for us, but a small collection with their most popular items would do me. Seriously, tons of female fans would buy it and it'd save having to trawl the internet for PG clothes that could pass as unisex
