Listening to As You Were for the first time in a while. When I'm In Need is still a banger. The production of the album has generally grown on me since first listening to it.

Does anyone know of a HD photo of Liam looking at the picture of John Lennon during Live Forever at Maine Road? Preferably a portrait one as I want to make it my phone background.

Doing a project for a graphics class and we had to pick one of our favourite bands to do a small sequence to. I was on Vimeo and just found the oddest set of videos of someone pretending to be Liam. As well as a weird, but very well done, mock interview lol

On last night’s Have I Got News For You regular pundit Ian Hislop (an esteemed satirist, and editor of Private Eye) said something that drew the ire of some members of the studio audience. He then raised both hands and pinched his fingers in as if to say, “Come on, then.” The host, comedian Richard Ayoade, joked, “[That’s] the closest I’ve seen you look to Liam Gallagher.” Hislop laughed, and so did the crowd.
I’ve noticed Liam getting referenced more on TV and in print recently—his reputation for battering paparazzi was used as a punchline to a joke on the last series of HIGNFY. Back to the latter day Oasis level, and definitely more than when he was in Beady Eye, I think.

I remember watching the Angus-era DVD my dad had as a kid and loving it.

I remember watching the Angus-era DVD my dad had as a kid and loving it. It depends on who’s hosting. If it’s someone like Ayoade or Alexander Armstrong (who seems to be on nearly every other episode), it can be good; but then, if it’s some actor with no comic timing, who just wants to get their face out there, it can be a bit shit as well. I guess you could say there's an air of staleness to it—little wonder when Hislop and Merton are having to find new things to say about stories as old and commonplace as politician gaffs, celebrity sex scandals, and so on—but it still has its moments. Merton and Hislop still have their lightning quick wits, and Hislop is more likeable now that he’s comfortable enough to laugh at himself (always thought he seemed a bit of a tit when Deayton was doing it).

That Armstrong bloke is a borrrrrrrrrre. Zzzzzzzz. Wash your mouth out! Pointless is the best game show on TV and he's always decent on HIGNFY. Talking of Pointless, I saw the other week that Oasis were one of the jackpot rounds that wasn't chosen by the contestants, which pissed me off. Not sure if someone else has chosen it since.

Yeah they did! One of the categories was “songs on time flies” and they won with The Hindu Times. Hadn’t watched pointless in ages so was buzzing to see that

Universal Gleam has really grown on me. Nice tune. Lyrically probably the strongest song on the record.

Just watched that making of Wall of Glass video.
1:05 in, in the reflection on the table.
I remember thinking it at the time but, bloody hell, that looks so much like Noel with the shades on.
Also, Liam looked so trim and lean back then. Obviously the tour has taken it's toll a bit, but hope he gets back to that for the next time around. Want him looking at his best, not some scruffed up rocker!

Had a dream last night that Liam died and I was asked to play a tribute at a local gig the same day.
It was VERY surreal.

Hope Liam gives When I'm In Need a run out at that acoustic show in December, love that tune.
Would be great if he did the Beatles ending as well like here:

This time last year I fulfilled a life goal of seeing Liam Gallagher in the flesh. A lot of it is a blur as I was in such awe, but it was incredible. As you were x

I like For What It's Worth - It's like a much more mature Don't Brother Me.
Can't stand the Middle Eight, though,
