Go as Noel! Don't think wearing standard '50 year old aging rocker manwear' will help me stand out as being dressed up as Noel. I'm definitely not dressing up. The organisers can feck off on that one. Don't worry mate.. I'll be there 2 & not dressing up either..

From talk of walking away from music to being one of the hottest tickets in the U.K. in just 3 short months.
What a trip.

With all the fuss regarding his recent tweets, I can't help but think Liam has some kind of bipolar disorder.

This quiet period is rubbish. We need new music.

I went on the Wikipedia the other day and found that somebody added the "Touring band members" section there. The content is very intriguing to say the least. And what a lineup it is, if true! Bonehead? Guigsy? Simon Phillips?!

Perfect. Greg played all instruments on Wall Of Glass. There'd be no reason for him not to play them on the other songs he wrote.

The Uncut review specifically mentions Bonehead on bass for ‘Paper Crown’...

After being spoiled from June onwards the quiet period was hard going.
Reaperbahn was shit hot and a much-needed fix.
Now, Greedy Soul next week 🤞🏻
Also, it remains to be seen how the As You Were tracks will age but right now they're hitting me harder than the Oasis tracks played at gigs.

He's performing so consistently strongly now that even praising Liam's voice feels a touch superfluous.

My Liam thought for the day: most of us are waiting to here the studio versions of songs we already know, I fucking hope that they are fantastic because as everyone already knows the songs, if the studio versions aren't better or even as good as Liam playing live I'd hope the album just doesn't fall flat and feel stale.

I keep coming back to this performance. That night I was watching it at home, with my family, hoping that Liam would peform. I will never forget the moment I heard his voice. The first few times I listened/watched this peformance I cried. Still one of my favourite ever peformances of Live Forever even with Chris Martin singing the 'you and I are gonna live forever'.
And I think this is one the best version of Rock 'n' Roll Star of this tour:

Liam is always saying he wants to bring rock n roll back with guitars and everything but so far I haven't been too impressed.
Would be cool if Liam collaborated with guitarists like John Squire, Graham Coxon or even Johnny Marr. I'm sure they'd produce better guitar music than Greg Kurstin for example. They could make the music and great guitar riffs and Liam's job would be melodies and lyrics.

Wall of Glass certainly IS of note and relaunched Liam... (Just putting the above out there as devil’s advocate)

I'm wondering how the shocked "fans" who didn't know Liam is short for William are coping...

Wall of Glass certainly IS of note and relaunched Liam... (Just putting the above out there as devil’s advocate) Don't get me wrong, I like Liam's new songs. It's just that he's always talking about bringing back Rock N Roll and guitar music but to me Wall of Glass sounds like a modern pop song trying to be rock n roll. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just something I've thought lately. Chintatown and FWIW aren't bad songs, but Liam's calling Noel beige on twitter and saying he's the last rock star around while releasing these softer singles. I dunno, it's weird. I like Greedy Soul, it has lots of energy and finally sounds like the type of song I've been talking about. I haven't heard the other songs (at least I don't remember them). Looking forward to hearing the album My point was that Coxon, Squire and Marr are rock traditionalists and very talented ones, just like Liam. Maybe I'm optimistic but I like to think they'd make a great team. And at least Marr and Coxon are able to bring something modern/fresh in their sound. Not so sure about Squire.
