I know I'm missing a lot of other great bands in the 90's.
I vote for: Oasis U2

Oasis.
Pulp should be up there though. I'd have Common People over anything Noel Gallagher has ever - or will ever - write. Even D'You Know What I Mean?(!!)

Oasis, as Los Campesinos weren't around yet.

Oasis And Radiohead for me, but if the red hot chili peppers were up there I might have them over Radiohead, it's a close call.

There was a band called Nirvana in the 90s. They had a big, big sound but stopped recording in '94 for some reason. I'd rank them above every band on this list except oasis and, of course, the Spice Girls (good call on that inclusion).

Oasis U2
The 90s run for Oasis was amazing. DM, MG, BHN, plus the successful singles, great live shows, and taking over the World of music in 1995/6... wow.
U2 is a close third. Achtung Baby and Pop are wonderful albums filled with great experimentation that was ahead of its time for both albums (imo, pop music is just now catching up to Pop), and their live shows were right along with it. Plus, The Fly, One, and Mysterious Ways... What a run of singles.
Once again, I'll mention the Chilis. I know I mentioned them in the 2000s band thread, but RHCP were on fire throughout the 90s. BSSM is one of the best albums of the decade, and Californication is easily one of the best comeback albums of all-time. Only about 1 or 2 songs from One Hot Minute are the only downsides to it.

I think we should do "Artists of the Decade". Eminem and Aphex Twin should both be part of their respective decade's conversions.

Supergrass and The Divine Comedy should be included. And the Smashing Pumpkins too.

90's music is the soundtrack of my life, but I'll try to pick the best bands.
Oasis Radiohead Blur The Verve Aphex Twin U2 Massive Attack
All of these bands put out amazing albums in the 90's (with the exception of Pablo Honey and Leisure, of course).
