Couldn't care less if it has a retro feel as long as its good. Its going to be guitar music I would have thought rather than EDM. Making guitar music in 2016 doesn't mean being stuck in the '60s. And shaping a fresh sound doesn't mean making EDM. BE was a nice example of that: a 2013 record which sounds like it was produced in 2013, not in 1965. Precisely. One of my favorite quotes from Dave Sitek from the BE sessions-- which I cannot find at the moment--was something along the lines of "You lot sound like you're from 1967. I'm from the year 2067. Let's meet somewhere in between."

No it doesn't but take The Brian Jonestown Massacre who have veered into various different music but have always seemed to return to that retro 60's sound. They have been consistantly brilliant at it too. Don't get me wrong I would love Liam to keep following that path started with BE but it might not go that way, that doesn't bother me as long as its good. Come on! You haven't even heard Líam's album and already love it, babe! Could be a cheesy country western album and your ass would be down at the local rodeo picking up a cowboy hat and snake skin boots, and blaring that album! Thanks.

Nothing against Tom, but this did make me crack up.

Its no surprise to me that Noel is doing well because he tries to modernise, BOTMI, Right stuff, what a life etc. You have to move with the times, people dont go out jiving to twist and shout anymore. just because people liked flares in the 70s doesnt mean you should go out to dinner in them now. BE is a good example its classic but it doesnt instantly sound outdated and has its own unique modern sound. Well actually, flares are completely in style again. They work wonders for your legs.

Not believing anything until I see titles and release dates. Liam tweets all kinds of bullshit all the time.

The reissue/rethinking was all Noel. Liam tweeting something positive about Noel? It's more likely that he releases a brand new album full of classics on Monday.

Imagine Liam gets "Oasis" back together. Bonehead, Alan, maybe Guigs and just does a Be Here Now tour. He knows Noel hates the album, so he goes out and tours it

Specially dont go away and around the world.
