Here are some fun facts. Pete Yorn and Brendan Benson are working on the record with him. Not planning on a 'Give Out But Don't Give Up' to 'Vanishing Point' transition then? On that subject from 6th March 1998 Mani acknowledges a Primal Scream debt to Lemmy on Nevermind The Buzzcocks

Liam is recording with Dave Sardy.
Imagine that.

Got to be in LA recording hasn't he? And hopefully with a cool producer. I've long said I want Liam and Danger Mouse to link up.

This would be the right time to announce something.

I personally would like to hear 'It's Alright Now' on the album, got a lot of potential that song if done right.

This would be the right time to announce something. "Be afraid you so called troubadours and you plastic rock n rollers give your paper crown 1 last cuddle coz I'm on my way LG X" not official enough for you?

An album title, release date, something 'official' would be nice. Liam Gallagher's Mashed Potato's.

It would be stupid to use up all the hits on the first album! Gotta save something for the second one called "(What's the Story) Potato Glory".

Couldn't care less if it has a retro feel as long as its good. Its going to be guitar music I would have thought rather than EDM.

And shaping a fresh sound doesn't mean making EDM. BE was a nice example of that: a 2013 record which sounds like it was produced in 2013, not in 1965.

As long as it's half decent, which I'm sure it will be, I'll be happy. I just need Liam's voice back in my life.

Its no surprise to me that Noel is doing well because he tries to modernise, BOTMI, Right stuff, what a life etc. You have to move with the times, people dont go out jiving to twist and shout anymore. just because people liked flares in the 70s doesnt mean you should go out to dinner in them now. BE is a good example its classic but it doesnt instantly sound outdated and has its own unique modern sound.

No it doesn't but take The Brian Jonestown Massacre who have veered into various different music but have always seemed to return to that retro 60's sound. They have been consistantly brilliant at it too. Don't get me wrong I would love Liam to keep following that path started with BE but it might not go that way, that doesn't bother me as long as its good.

It was only a couple of months ago that we were facing the prospect of him never making music again. At the end of the day, the chances of a 40+ year old man moving out of his comfort zone aren't high, but if he can produce good music, then I'm sure a lot of people will be happy.
