That would be terrific, but I just can't see it happening. Damon is too busy to spend such a long time with Noel in the studio. Plus this is being advertised as a HFB record, and if Noel and Damon were co-writing the songs, Damon would get top billing alongside Noel. David Holmes is also a songwriter, by the way. It's definitely being advertised as the next album Noel is working on but he said in an interview a few months back he doesn't know what it will say on the front of the album yet. I still think Holmes is the most likely collaborator but Damon's definitely in the running. Yes, but remember what Noel wrote on Instagram: "So Kanye thinks he's made the best album of all time? You might sell more Mr.Kanye but NGHFB will be better..FACT!"

I think at this stage all we can say is nothing is certain.

Sitek would be great. He made BE almost listenable, he had some good ideas which combined with Noel's natural songwriting ability could be great.

Noels "challenging" himself.....hmmm yea....until he realises again that he "doesnt want to release another album as bad as BHN" then it will hit the bin quicker than you can say "amorphous androgynous"

I'm skeptical. He speaks of "songs" which means it'll probably be more middle of the road, generic stuff. No weird instrumentals, no complete curve balls that can't be reproduced on stage. No kazoo solos. The best thing I get out of it is that he's not calling the things he's completed the greatest material he's ever done, which he always does, so we'll see.

Found out who is producing it. I am not gonna risk my professional integrity by saying who until its announced as i dont want a reputation.... but as a huge Noel fan i thought when i found out.... "ooooh. Nice move, Noelly-Poelly"

I found out who is producing it as well, but I'm not going to tell anyone, because I am trying to sound interesting plus I'm secretly franklomax.

In my dreams, it would be Jon Hopkins producing. His solo records are amazing, and his collaborative efforts with conventional and melodic songwriters like Coldplay and King Creosote (collaborative album Diamond Mine is BEAUTIFUL) really take these artists into the stratosphere. They have an ethereal and other worldly quality to them but still retain the populist mindset of great melody, so I've always thought it would be ideal for Noel considering Hopkins previous record. Perfect mix in my opinion.
David Holmes would be great too, though I know less of him - I only have one album of his (The Holy Pictures) but it's up there with Jon Hopkins too.

I'm not havin' any of that. You know why? Because everytime Noel has said that the next thing will be experimental/different it fells short(SOTSOG) or it is just a waterdown version of the thing it was supposed to be released(DOYS and The Mexican/The Right Stuff). Im sorry Noel but until you release the album I won't bat an eyelid for this kind of statement.

Even Embrace managed kazoo solos on record, and one sung by the guitar playing McNamara brother as opposed to the regular lead singing one

For Noel to be excited, it has to be a big name, someone he looks up to. Cant see anyone else mentionned in this thread, bar Damon.
Plus Noel made a break on his tour almost at the same time Blur stopped touring, only to do a couple of gigs in december.
As for the record being a NGHFB or not, he said in 2011 anyone could be in NGHFB...
