Anyone else sometimes feel overwhelmed by the amount of music out there? I've been itching to check out/delve deeper into the Cure, Pulp, Placebo, Flying Lotus, Modeselektor, Grizzly Bear, the Buzzcocks, Mogwai, and even the Stones, Pink Floyd, the Who, and many many more because I've heard that they're good. But I don't usually have the time to explore all of these artists. I find it impossible to listen to five different albums by five different artists all in the same week, or even the same month, and, when I happen to fall into that practice it feels like I'm desperately searching for that "wow" factor, that high, that sense of wonder from listening to great music for the first time. I get the feeling that I don't digest songs as quickly as most of you. Which leads me to my question to all of you: how many bands have you listened to within the last week? I listen to about four or five albums a day - I'm listening to The Suburbs right now. They're often by different bands but obviously my favourite artists overlap a lot...I'd say I listen to 20-25 bands a week. Placebo, The Cure, Flying Lotus, and Pink Floyd are usually in there

Morrissey is coming to Berlin in August. I can't believe it and I can't remember when I was as happy as when I read it. I missed the last two German tours and finally, I get the chance to see him. Anyone else going? The last time when I saw him in Utrecht in November 2014, was the best Moz gig I've ever been to. Some fans organised the queue outside and we all got numbers, so it was truly "first come, first enter the venue" and I was one of the lucky ones who got a front row.

Haha, only Moz fans I'll be there early then, thanks Did you touch his hand? Okay, fangirl-mode off now

I wouldn't say they are anything like Arcade Fire. They opened for them on the Neon Bible tour but were around long before Arcade Fire was born.

Okay, fangirl-mode off now No, I didn't touch his hand, but I had a little banter with him when he played in Nijmegen in December 2009. He was asking something about the city and he asked me "do you know why?", so I said "No". I wasn't one of all those crazy people who fought for a piece of his shirt after his gig in 2014. When he played in Rotterdam in June 2009, 2 couples started to fight for a setlist after the gig and it got nasty. I was standing next to them and the security guy gave me a plectrum of the bass player.

I also listen to Cast Recordings from the theater world which can be quite a varied experience. The past week (or the last two days rather).... Fiddler On the Roof - 2015 Revival Cast Hamilton - Cast Album Something Rotten! - Cast Album Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel Man on the Run - Bush Rotting Pinata - Sponge School of Rock - Cast Album In the Heights - Cast Album Chasing Yesterday - Noel Gallagher There are probably a few more I've forgotten.

And I don't always have the time or patience to listen to a bunch of albums or I don't feel like starting with a new artist. And there's so much, sometimes I don't know where or how to start. Anyway, haven't really been listening to a lot of albums the past week. Mostly just individual songs. Have listened to a couple of albums though: Sgt. Pepper by the Beatles Person Pitch by Panda Bear Brian Wilson Presents Smile! by erm..Brian Wilson So that's not much. Been a bit obsessed with the Beach Boys lately, so been listening to a lot of that.

During the commotion at the end of The Kids on The Marshall Mathers LP, someone should have ran in and shot everyone - and then Em could say something like "Fuck, I did it again..." Would have been the perfect way to end that album.

WHat's the 'worst' Beatles album?

WHat's the 'worst' Beatles album? Beatles for sale IMO. It was rushed and regressive after A Hard Day's Night. Not too fond of Please Please Me either, but that was their debut so I'll cut them some slack.

WHat's the 'worst' Beatles album? One time my friends were debating this. We all said Let It Be. Then were like: "Two of Us is great."
"Don't forget Across The Universe."
"For Your Blue is a tune man!"
"And Get Back."
"Let It Be is one of Paul's best ever!"Next thing you know we named half the album as awesome. All the Beatles albums are great in their own unique way.

Listening to that brought me right back to when I bought Revolver and first listened to it, nonstop for so long. What a brilliant little song. One of Paul's best I think.

You know you're obsessed with Blur when you've listened to Modern Life Is Rubbish, Parklife, and The Great Escape from start to finish not once, not twice, but three times each this week, and it's only Wednesday!
Can't remember the last time I was this into a band! Maybe the Verve?
