Yeah, with another leg of the CY tour this summer it's highly doubtful a new release would appear this year. Besides, it would cause the setlist to change

I think his UK number 1 album streak has a lot to do with him not taking risks with albums. If he took a chance and put out a risky album (like the AA project) and it failed to be a chart topper it would kill him inside a bit. I think it wouldn't kill his streak immediately. I think his name would be enough to secure a number one. Now, the aftermath of that album would be interesting. Would there be a DGSS effect where DGSS sold based on name, then BE got chopped down in sales because of DGSS? Maybe. Yeah mean the effect that HGHFB sold of name or most likely it was because both of there debuts. It may be bigger figures but both second albums look to be in about 60% decline which huge drop off for both

Yeah mean the effect that HGHFB sold of name or most likely it was because both of there debuts. It may be bigger figures but both second albums look to be in about 60% decline which huge drop off for both Yea, I think Noel's decline in album sales is down to multiple factors. 1. The newness of it being his first release 2. Not having a WAL moment. 3. The change in the release date from a time of higher sales (the holiday season) to what's usually the dead sales period. So there was going to be an obvious regression to the mean, which is made even more jarring because HFB's album sales were so inflated from WAL. But I think if he releases in October, his usually time of release, then his sales total would probably clear Platinum easily, but fall way short of essentially 2 1/2x Platinum of HFB. I don't know if Beady Eye suffered from the same confluence of factors, but there was also an obvious regression to the mean, possibly for different reasons. They released BE in June, which is the beginning of the festival season whereas DGSS was released in the dead period of August, and never really had a "hit" single.

The simple truth is that HFBs sold more because the production was so much better.

The album sounds a lot better than HFB.

The record came out first in Japan on 23rd February 2011 via Sony Music, and had been released for all territories by 21st March 2011.

Altough I have a soft spot for DGSS that made me giggle. And giggling hurts with the flu right now!

What would be the odds of Noel playing debuting ONE new song to his setlist this summer?

What would be the odds of Noel playing debuting ONE new song to his setlist this summer? This summer? Well, I hope to hear one in April. With HFB he did Freaky Teeth, so it's not that unlikely actually. Come on Noel, even if it's a B-side. Surprise us with something. Anything.

Mean Mrs. Mustard: "Please Noel, can I have some more?" Noel cruelly smashes a bowl of gruel across Mean Mrs. Mustard's face: "I remain fucking totally awesome! You'll get what you're given and be damn thankful for it!"

What would be the odds of Noel playing debuting ONE new song to his setlist this summer? Ideally a new album is announced and out by June. Hence the reason for this summer tour. I'm actually surprised he's touring in America a solid year after Chasing Yesterday came out. Noel or Oasis didn't really tour unless hawking a new album in America. I guess they sorta did for the Brotherly Love Tour but that was strange. Crowes playing last on the bill? For fucks sake Noel. Should have alternated nights.

A lot of fluff in that article of information we've seen other places earlier in January. Classic NME re-write job from other peoples work/info.
