Yeah, I remember that someone stole Liam's hat at that gig but I had forgotten about it until you mentioned it. The crowd probably did expect Oasis songs but watching that footage their were some people talking in the crowd.

no shame in playing LAG Oasis tunes for the first tour and was disappointed with only Noel-penned tunes during BE's tour
I loved the 2 records when they came out - about 10 tracks I still find pretty good

Well that's weird, Stop Crying Your Heart Out reported the other day that it was 10 years ago since Beady Eye played at the T In The Park Festival and now they're saying it's today. So which one is it?

It was 10 years on Friday since Beady Eye played at the Melt Festival, I haven't listened to that gig for ages. And, it was 10 years yesterday since they played at the Gurten Festival.

Iz Rite is a class summer tune. Sounds great blaring while driving along in the sun.

Listening back to their Olympics performance, I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be. Of course, it was a touch too nasally but the mic and the stadium acoustics definitely didn't do Liam's vocals any justice. It's just a shame that the Olympics performance etched into people's head that Liam had lost his voice by that point, while reality is, on Beady Eye's last tour (bar a few gigs), he'd sounded better than any time in the previous 10-ish years. In fact, if he sounded today like he did at that tour, a comeback of his voice would be celebrated but of course nobody was listening to BE by that point so nobody remembers. Cant really blame the micβs and stadium acoustics when the likes of Arctic Monkeys sounded absolutely fine. Letβs just be honest, if thereβs a professional singer and thereβs been an on going discussion going for 2 decades about how often he has sounded poor, I think itβs fair to say heβs just not that great a vocalist anymore and his prime was very short lived, a quarter of a century ago. Fans of most other bands donβt have to continually have conversations about the singers vocals and heaping praise on performances where they donβt sound atrocious. That Olympic performance was piss poor. Sounded like he had a peg on his nose.

Honestly I like this tune. I know it gets a lot of criticism though. Don't think I've seen that video before I was right down the front for this gig, blew my mind when they played Across The Universe Same, was epic when LG sung that out the blue right in front of me. A lovely moment.

Bring The Light is ok but the live version is better and it should never have been the first thing we ever heard by Beady Eye. If they really wanted to release it as a single then it should have been their second or third one and not their first.

Soul Love had potential but the chorus isn't great and Liam's vocals are a bit iffy.

It's 10 years ago today since Beady Eye played at the Reading Festival. It doesn't seem that long.

I'm listening to Beady Eye tonight. They are not my favorite, but some songs I really like. They needed quality control.

Two Of A Kind has the most tragic lyrics ever released by a Gallagher.

I revisited both Different Gear Still Spreading and BE last night and I enjoyed them both. Mind you, I hadn't listened to them in a long time.

Two Of A Kind has the most tragic lyrics ever released by a Gallagher. That would be Little by Little.

I like Little By Little and always have and I don't get the hate for it as there's far more worse Oasis songs.
