Bring the light was too simplistic to be a lead single. It should have been four letter word.

Who thought Oasis without Noel was a good idea?

I've always liked Start Anew and I think that it's certainly one of the best songs on the BE album.

Been listening to both BE albums a bit lately. DGSS definitely has it's moments and there are some pretty strong songs on there (Four Letter Word, Millionaire, Kill for a Dream, The Beat Goes On) but there is some utter crap too. Mainly Bring the Light. On the other hand, BE is far more consistent but only 1 song is hugely a favourite of mine (Soon Come Tomorrow). But there is also nothing bad on it.

I wouldn't expect it, his fans didn't really enjoy it. Enjoy the same soup (with 99% water and hardly any vegetables) for the next 20 years.

I was looking through my old twitter feed and came across this from my Star Trek DS9 rewatch in spring. See, even in the 23rd century and among the Ferengi Beady Eye is known!

With all the Beady Eye talk in another thread it made me listen to both of their albums earlier and I enjoyed them perhaps because I hadn't listened to them in a good while.

It's 10 years ago today since Beady Eye played a gig for The Teenage Cancer Trust, I'd forgotten all about that they did a concert for this charity until I read it on Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

Was it I didn't know that. But I know that they didn't play Wigwam earlier on in their tour.

Good grief, it was 10 years ago yesterday since Beady Eye organised that benefit concert for the victims of the earthquake in Japan. 10 years already it's quite hard to believe really.

It was 10 years ago last month when I saw Beady Eye for the first time in packed Paradiso with Miles Kane as a support. Good times.

It was 10 years ago yesterday since Beady Eye appeared on Jools Holland for the first time. I haven't watched their performances from back then in a long time.

Listening back to their Olympics performance, I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I remembered it to be. Of course, it was a touch too nasally but the mic and the stadium acoustics definitely didn't do Liam's vocals any justice. It's just a shame that the Olympics performance etched into people's head that Liam had lost his voice by that point, while reality is, on Beady Eye's last tour (bar a few gigs), he'd sounded better than any time in the previous 10-ish years. In fact, if he sounded today like he did at that tour, a comeback of his voice would be celebrated but of course nobody was listening to BE by that point so nobody remembers.

I didn't think that Beady Eye's performance at the Olympics was that bad as what some people made it out to be at the time. I haven't watched/listened to it in a long time though.

I found it very interesting the show in Amsterdam in 2014. I wasn't really into Oasis at the time so I didn't know about ending days of Beady Eye... The one thing is that Liam absolutely nailed every note he performed. But! Looks like he was on drugs that day! His look was very strange - slim as hell, making strange moves (even with his singing pose), talking too much comparing to other shows (except that Start Anew was the best song he's ever written), surfcrowding with wide open eyes and tryin' to smoke microphone at the end of the show! Well, some people would say that being on drugs is awful (and I'm absolutely agree with that - don't use drugs, kids) but watching that show in YouTube makes me feel... well, I'd like to visit show with Liam like that! Some might say it's horrible stuff but for me Liam was much much closer to the audience - and that makes me respect him even more (maybe failure of Beady Eye pushed him to behave like that? like 'it's time to face the crowd'?). Epic show.
I'm absolutely sure some of you have visited that Paradiso gig - was it entertaining enough for you? Did you like Liam's behavior that night? Do you really think he was stoned?
