This video is missing Mindfield Feel (a totally unreleased track) and Ballroom Figured. Ballroom Figured from this leak is better than the version on Be in my opinion.

I'm listening to Beady Eye live at the Isle Of Wight Festival and Bring The Light sounds so much better live than the album version.

I do sometimes listen to Beady Eye live as I still enjoy them once in a while.

I've just read on Stop Crying Your Heart Out that it's 10 years ago today since the Bring The Light single was released on limited vinyl.

Did we ever hear Steve Lillywhite's thoughts on the DGSS sessions? Thought he was gonna mention them in his book or something?

Having a pop at Beady Eye certainly gave his Twitter more attention than him or his genitals have seen in years.

Liam threw his production under the bus while recoding βBEβ. He was defending himself.

Liam Gallagher is as big a name as anyone in the UK, i'm sure slagging him off would generate more headlines than what is in his book. A riveting read though i'm sure.

Beady Eye would've been better if they had good songs.

I really like the BE album. Flick of the Finger is a huge favorite, and there are a lot of others I really enjoy: Start Anew, Iz Real, Face the Crowd, Ballroom Figured, Don't Brother Me, Shine a Light... There's a kind of gentle sweetness to a lot of them that I really like, even though it's not very Oasis-y.
OTOH, I have no use for DGSS and would be fine with never hearing a track from it again.

DGSS is a pop music travesty. Not a single good song. They range from embarrassing to... REALLY embarrassing. BE is a bit better. It still doesn't have any good songs, but a few good ideas scattered through a number of songs and some interesting production. It borders on listenable in a few ways so it's better than DGSS. Let's just be glad that Liam's gone solo and that these guys are gone forever.

(Especially on Oasis Twitter accounts) They were treated and respected as they deserved to be.

Don't know how Four Letter Word can be classed as Embarrassing tbh. Brilliant tune.

While I agree that BE is the better album, I do like certain songs on Different Gear Still Speading Four Letter Word, Millionaire, The Roller, Wigwam and The Morning Son are all songs which I enjoy.

I still stand by the fact that Flick of the Finger is one of the most interesting tunes released post oasis. It still sounds massive today, but humble in a strange sense.

Everything about it is fantastic: the driving beat, the horns, the lyrics are vivid and engaging, even the sample at the end is neat. (I've always wondered whose idea that was. Someone in the band clearly had a secret philosophical/political bent.) Definitely in my top five for post-Oasis tunes.

Soon Come Tomorrow is the best Beady Eye song. It's so close to actually being interesting. There's Some good melodic ideas in there and I like the sound of it, but it sadly doesn't really go anywhere.

I've really been digging Soul Love lately. Really a nice tune from Liam. I can understand why he brought it out during his first year touring solo. It's catchy. I also thing Start Anew is a good one. Sometimes simple is great. It's cool to hear him sing some higher notes every once in a while.
I've never understood why Beady Eye gets so much criticism. Why? Because what they put out was honestly so much better than a lot of the modern music we have nowadays. when you look at them as their own thing instead of comparing them to Oasis, some of their songs are pretty decent and I like some of them a lot.

I get why people reacted so negatively to Bring the Light, because it was so different from what they were expecting, but I was listening to it again today, and I think it's cute. It's a throwback to an era and genre of music that I don't think Oasis had ever tapped much or at all, which I imagine was the point. I wonder if it was a musical direction that Noel had vetoed in the past, or just something new they wanted to try.

Talking of Bring The Light I've never really disliked it but I do think that the ending should have been a bit shorter and the Baby Come On lines reduced a bit as I think they went on a bit too much.
