Why would those bonus tracks and b sides make DGSS when they didn't even make BE? O.o I think you have misunderstood my post. What I'm trying to say is if Beady Eye would of waited a few years instead of rushing out an album they would of gathered together a better selection of songs for what would be their first album. It could of looked something like what I posted. Still don't get it. If they were bonus tracks for BE, and they had waited a few years, then wouldn't it look more like a combination of BE and DGSS rather than mostly BE bonus tracks? Maybe a third album would be made up of BE bonus tracks if they had held those tracks back, but if Beady Eye didn't deem those bonus tracks should make BE, then I don't get why they would make a revamped DGSS.... The same with World Outside my Room and In a Bubble with a Bullet, those were DGSS b sides, so why would Beady Eye all of a sudden make them album cuts, especially once they added album cuts of BE and BE'S bonus tracks? I don't see why they would be elevated from what Beady Eye deemed to be b side material when they were short of material during DGSS anyways. I think you're projecting more of a compilation album, than a possible scenario of what would happen if DGSS were held back.

I see what you're saying but I didn't really put that much thought in to it, I was just saying how good hypothetically DGSS COULD of been if that was the track listing.

I really like World Outside My Room WOMR is such a fun, light and breezy song and features some of Liam's best vocals this side of the 00s. It's up there with FOTF as their best track IMO. Almost got a jazzy kind of feel to it, so laid back and unexpected. I remember they opened a gig with this one, which is quite a bold move. I am fortunate enough to have seen this one done live, I really didn't expect they'd play this on one the north american tour. Personally, I love this song so much I would have opened DGSS with it. Just to throw people's expectations.

Flick of the Finger Soul Love Face the Crowd Second Bite of the Apple Soon Come Tomorrow Iz Rite I'm Just Saying Off at the Next Exit Back After the Break Ballroom Figured Start Anew
With a little more work done on FTC, this would be one complete album with not a single weak tune on it.

I love the ''Turn your eyes to me, let me see how real you are, you'll never understand, I'll stand up for every star'' bit of Face The Crowd.

man, i'll never forget this day. the security guard at the very beginning with the black cap on was losing his shit when the band came out and we drew closer and closer that was me in total fanboy mode @ 0:24 'are you guys doin' two of a kind tonight?' got my dgss booklet signed by everybody (except for chris). and while this whole scene was going on the cubs and yankees were playing across the street. the weather outside was great, perfect to stand around, queue up for a gig and talk shit. MAN what a day, and what a gig! the stuff dreams are made of

The 42.42 remixes of BE are quite awesome I've just listened to them after a long time...

Liam should work with Graham Coxon. No. Why not? Coxon is one of the most talented guitarists of his generation. He's more technically skilled than Noel, that's for sure. He'd bring a new perspective influenced by newer alternative and lo-fi. And, if you've heard his solo work, he's a pretty good and adventurous songwriter too. And let's be honest, don't we all want to hear Liam sing Song 2?

But he would not be the man to work with Liam, just two totally different personalities. GC is great but he's not renowned for being Rock N' Roll. If Kasabian ever split Serge would be great.

today i had 'BE' on in the car and 'i'm just saying' came on. i was totally digging it, blasting it nice and loud with the windows down. but then i realized some of the lyrics... 'i'm feeling fine, this is my time to shine.' TOTAL dad rock. but there i was digging it just the same. so what does that say about me ??

I've heard The Roller today...
in the Kaufland market right where I bought Different Gear, Still Speeding five years ago on release day where my school was at that time.
I've visited this place probably the first time since five years.
Someone I know must have seen me and winded me up. I almost shed a tear.
I've heard Beady Eye especially at plenty of German hardware stores before.

In fact Beady Eye must still dominate the German hardware store charts.
They were a proper hardware store band.

So cringe worthy in fact that in that moment it kills the song stone dead.

Beady Eye, and more specifically LAG, were a three ring circus.
