I wonder if those who bought the nft will have access to it or if it will be released for free on the YouTube channel.

¿Which song is played in that clip? It’s really good. I admittedly haven’t listened to Council Skies that much.
Thanks.

Also, watching that documentary, they should have kept the "live drums" on Pretty Boy -- huge groove! Think that's why it works for me more live, than on the record.

Now that's good. I thought Noel and his people had totally forgotten about it! Looking forward to part III and IV - which weren't available with the NFT bundle.

Interesting, parts 1 and 2 were part of the purchase from Serenade when the album was released, or shortly after. I checked the time code and the first videos match between Serenade and YouTube. I'm glad to see that there will be two more parts to this series.

I've noticed Noel's speaking voice has changed a little in the past few interviews I've listened to. The latest one is his interview on the Paul Weller podcast. Gruffer, more aged sounding but might just be a cold. Macca was in his last few years of singing well at Noel's age. Hopefully Noel has many more years! I think his live voice is on its way out - have done since WBTM. It's never been massively powerful but I struggle to listen back to his live gigs these days because it just doesn't sound great, to me.

It has definitely aged a lot since WBTM, most notably on Wandering Star. I wonder if that's one of the reasons why he doesn't like how his new recordings are sounding.

Just realised it's been just over 5 years since the release of Noel's Black Star Dancing EP. Easily one of his more divisive releases within the fanbase, but it contains a great hidden gem of a b-side, "Sail On."

Nice beats, backing vocals and guitar work. The video is also clever and funny.

It's not my favourite from the EPs but I don't mind it at all.

I was wondering earlier if Noel still writes on notebooks these days. Has he ever mentioned anything about it? I know it's easier for most artists to just write down ideas on their phones, but I find myself more useful to have pen and paper next to me when I'm creating something.

I think it is. Seen another quote having a dig at Grohl. He has undoubtedly turned in to the very thing he hated.

What makes me laugh is the fact that Glastonbury being political is framed as some kind of brand new thing that's just cropped up out of nowhere, as if Greenpeace for example hasn't been directly involved with the festival since 1991 Edit: you also can't forget that artists have been using their platform and speaking up for what they believe in (on a MUCH larger scale than just 'war is bad guys!!') for decades upon decades and without politics being involved in music we would never have got some of the greatest songs in history

Genuinely, what the fuck happened to Noel? I grew up in a tiny Texas town, with a sick, single mother in abject poverty, who tried to protect me from a father that kidnapped me and stalked/menaced us for years.
I found Oasis and finished high school having never been on any sort of vacation, but saved enough money working during my adolescence that I was able to fly to NYC and see them at their three nights at Radio City less than a month after graduation (have seen them, Beady Eye, LG/NG solo over a dozen times since). The experience completely blew my mind and opened up my world to endless possibilities. I became a fanatic of the highest order and consumed absolutely everything that had been released about them.
This led me to have traveled to 40 U.S. states, over 30+ countries, live in Europe for almost two years and to have multiple university degrees. I say this sincerely: if I had not seen them live, I would’ve never escaped that poverty-stricken life/town. I literally made decisions based on if I thought Liam or Noel would’ve been too scared or apprehensive to take chances. They gave me strength, power, and belief.
It’s true that I always preferred Liam, but I also completely idolized Noel. I truly loved him. However, I’ve got to admit, I actually dislike him now. He was always a curmudgeon, but he was clever and hysterically funny. Now he just seems to be a sad, mean, miserable asshole. And frankly, I don’t care for him at all. I would’ve never imagined it possible to have that sentiment. It saddens me.

Noel's fine if he's being interviewed about his new music, or Oasis, stuff like that. There's been some really good recent interviews like the pedal show one.
But the moment he gets onto anything about the wider state of the country or politics or culture, he's just a conservative misanthrope who comes across like Jeremy Clarkson or someone like that, it's so tedious. It's fine not to like bands going on about politics at gigs (people have been criticising his mate Bono for decades for it), but to start moaning about "wokeness", "virtue-signalling" and shit like that is just straight from the right-wing press. He'll have a weekly Daily Mail column soon if he keeps it up.

Please stop it Noel. You are coming across as a completely out of touch, angry auld gammon. Bit weird him saying that seeing how he was such a big fan of the Jam and the Smiths growing up.
