Anyone beat top 0.5%? I'm 1% actually. Probably because of the multiple version of We're Gonna Get There.. So I belong to 1 percent of what exactly? Furthermore, I was being accused by Spotify of being a Hypnotist and listening predominantly to Crank Wave (wtf?). Must be my strange addiction to Love Is a Rich Man.

You’re in the top 1% of Noel listeners. You’ve listened to him more than 99% of others who’ve listened to him. Clearly a casual fan. I too am a hypnotist apparently. Crank Wave LOL. I immediately assumed it was one of those ridiculous genres made up by Spotify’s algorithm, but it turns out it’s one of those ridiculous genres made up by an NME journalist: www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/mark-words-welcome-crank-wave-start-subculture-revival-2545963

I got Top 1% and Noel was my #1 artist, though he's #2 on my last.fm...which is always different despite playing all my music through Spotify.

“Every move you make, every breath you take…” Did Noel record a video for Spotify wrapped?

Crank Wave means you listened to Idles. I don't particularly enjoy Idles. It must be my Fontaines D.C. and English Teacher obsession then. Apparently those two bands are Crank Wave as well. Thanks mossy, it's amazing to remember how influential the NME writers were until the late, errm, Noughties. But not this guy.

According my CD player, I'm the #1 Noel listener in the world.
Or it could just be I'm just playing I'm Not Giving Up Tonight...

“Every move you make, every breath you take…” Noel has 1,2M monthly lusteners in Spotify. That makes me one of the 120 persons in the sorld that listen the most to Noel ? ? ? ? Now I did the math even I am frightened of myself

Love Is a Rich Man destroys the flow in the end of Council Skies. There She Blows! and Think of a Number fit perfectly together, but even WGGTITE would be a much better choice for track 9.

Council Skies should have been track 9...it flows almost perfectly into Think of a Number when they're back to back. With just a touch of editing it would have flowed perfectly. Frankly, Noel's sequencing choices are part of what lead me to stop buying physical media for Noel's records since CY, and also to lead me to sell my vinyl that I already have. I'd rather just playlist all the albums with my own choices. And somewhere, Noel's head just exploded...

No, I like the album the way it is and think it flows really well.

In regards to this discussion, what would your new Council Skies tracklist be? Curious to hear your thoughts For me this is my current playlist: 1.I'm Not Giving Up Tonight 2.Flying on the Ground (whatever, it's a fantasy playlist anyway) 3.Open the Door, See What You Find 4.We're Gonna Get There in the End 5.Trying to Find a World That's Been and Gone (Pt.1) 6.Dead to the World 7.Love is a Rich Man 8.Easy Now 9.There She Blows! 10.Council Skies 11.Think of a Number I like the vibe from 1-4 here which is ruined by having Pretty Boy and Dead to the World at 2 and 3. It's frustrating since my ears want more 'good times' or what have you at the start since the first track is, in my eyes, a very wonderful bit of pop soul. I may be in the minority on that run, but it flows better for me. 5 and 6 are like a nice little interlude when placed together and gives DTTW some more space to shine in my eyes and then Love is a Rich Man hits nicely with the drums after Dead to the World to kickstart the second half. Also, Trying to Find...fits more as a palate cleanser after a run of poppy tunes rather than just one of those, in my opinion. Then the second Oasis style tune (after We're Gonna Get There...) in Easy Now and then There She Blows! flows really nicely after the Easy Now outro, then a nice flow into two tunes that also flow well back to back with the string outro and intro that almost match each other to end it. Obviously no Pretty Boy since I don't care for it and the brass and such on Flying on the Ground work better for an album full of strings anyway, in my eyes. Ain't streaming music grand?

One thing I’d say to the post above is that I agree it’s time Flying ON the Ground got its due. By far the better of the compilation tracks, and would be great live. And yet, Noel persists with the dirge.

current playlist: 1.I'm Not Giving Up Tonight 2.Flying on the Ground (whatever, it's a fantasy playlist anyway) It was so obvious that he had to do that. Why throw a track like that away. Such a disaster.

Noel said on the Matt podcast there will be 4 songs changing in the setlist for summer. Whatever was the only one he confirmed. What else we thinking? I’ll go black star dancing, dream on, stand by me
