Someone needs to seriously explain to me the appeal of Born On A Different Cloud. Awful melody, awful lyrics, awful production, awful instrumentation.

It's a John Lennon rip off, and not good John Lennon but post-Imagine and all that rubbish. Liam's disappointing vocals (of which usually raise a track to amazing heights) only compound this. Terrible track.

You know how many parents dress their newborn in their favorite sports team's attire? Well, I'm going to have my child wear earphones while listening to nonstop Oasis. Some might call it indoctrination, I call it appreciation. My son is pretty much convinced he is Noel Gallagher. He got his first guitar for Christmas this year, which is not going to help the matter.

My Oasis thoughts of the day is, that there's only one Oasis community for every Oasis fans. Not "mine", not "yours", but ours. One for all, all for one. Like the wise word by Lennon2217 - An Oasis forum divided against itself cannot stand.

That's alright, Noel was convinced he would have made a good George Harrison, and he turned out alright Look out for your son's records in a decade or so?

Current thought is Morning Glory is utterly anthemic.
So feel good.
I put it on a pub jukebox whilst pissed on Thursday night and forgot how great the tune made me feel.
What a buzz.

Should've had another verse though. Same with Rock n Roll Star.

I told Noel that we named his son after him. We had a bit of conversation while he was onstage - he asked if my son realized the gravity of what his parents had done to him (um, YES!!) and asked how old he was. I told him he was 3 and he said "I can't wait until 20 years time when he's stood on this stage." Then went into TDOYAM. It was an incredible night :)

Last night I listened to SOTSOG and DBTT back to back. Here are my updated thoughts on each album. SOTSOG- PYMYWMI would've been a killer instrumental.
- Little James just needed better lyrical work from Liam obviously, but other than that it has great production and the album mix is fantastic.
- Sunday Morning Call is ace.
- I Can See A Liar needed better lyrics but its driving punk style production really is let down by the lyrics.
- Roll It Over should've been a minute longer!
DBTT
- Mucky Fingers and Love Like A Bomb isn't as bad as I've made them out to be. MF is still mastered poorly and sounds VERY VERY flat.
- The ending of GGTIA ruins the song. Should've faded out right before it.
SOTSOG is still the better album but DBTT is definitely a return to form compared to HC.
- I like A Bell Will Ring now. Still doesn't go anywhere.

My Oasis thoughts for today are that without that band I would never have begun to write songs. I began music when I was only 5 years old, learning violin but I gave up after just one year cos my teacher was such a severe person. I still have loved music a lot but it is Oasis who gave me that desire to write my own pieces. I have only begun for one year, and it became a big, big passion.

This is why I love The Meaning of Soul The Meaning Of Soul gets far too much criticism on this site, it's a good fast banging tune! I really like it, it packs a punch! And it's much better than its awful DOYS counterpart AGN. Plus, cereal box drumming init!?

If you had to choose one:
A. Liam Gallagher in conjunction with Lee Mavers/Johnny Marr/John Squire/Death In Vegas/AnyoneWho'llWorkWithHimEvenPostmanPatIfItMeansHe'llReleaseNewMaterial
B. Be Here Now reissue with Mustique demo's.
Easy choice for me gotta be A as much as I like love BHN.
