Imagine writing this in 1994, so early in Noel Gallagher’s career. A one off single, left off the album.
Best version, indeed.

Where the Beatles had LSD, Oasis had cocaine…
Noel is in fine form with both the intro and outro. One of my favourite performances of Supersonic - Oasis’ first single from 1994.
Oasis, Budokaj 1998. Top stuff.

Imagine writing this stunning and poignant song three decades into your career, and then releasing it as a mere bonus track tacked onto a Best Of compilation. Perhaps my favourite song of Noel’s solo career… a bonus track! What an incredible back catalogue. Best song writer of a generation. 3 million views. Can't stand that song. One of the weakest of his career for me. Funnily enough before I clicked the video I though you were talking about Flying on the Ground and was going to reply saying I 100% agree.

We're On Our Way Now is just alright.
Flying on the Ground on the other hand..... Love it so much. Wish it was performed live instead of WOOWN on the CS tour.

Liam's "You're Too Good For Giving Up" and LG/JS's "One Day at a Time" are fuckin' amazing!

We're On Our Way Now just feels like Noel on autopilot or just Noel playing it safe. Something like that.
Flying on the Ground is more of what I wanna see from Noel.

Love both We're On Our Way Now and Flying On The Ground. Different songs for different moods but somehow they go together. I got em together in a playlist and they complement each other perfectly.

And I'm over here saving both of them for a rainy day. Haven't listened to either one ever.

I didn’t think too much of WOOWN but hearing it live at a gig did boost my enjoyment of it significantly since. That said, I’d hardly say that it’s one of his best. Good b-side or album track but not a single.

Sadly we won't get any new music for a while especially this year now. We might get a new Liam and John Squire new album next year if Liam decides to continue with this project but as for Noel it probably won't be for a few years yet sadly.

If you told me Better Days was a Noel written, Liam sung song released as the first single to an Oasis eighth album, I would believe you.

Suppose we'll hear something about a 30th anniversary Shakermaker single around June 1st. That was the start of the Shakermaker tour back in '94 at Edwards 8.
I do hope we'll continue with the Limelight gig. That might be the next full live show release if we get more.

If you told me Better Days was a Noel written, Liam sung song released as the first single to an Oasis eighth album, I would believe you. Which is why it has always been my favorite LG solo song, beside the fact it just being a very uplifting joyful song. But in general, I'm not a huge fan of Liam's solo work *except* C'mon You Know. When it came out, I was very excited. The album has a lot of depth and is way more musically interesting. I desperately hoped he would follow this direction but LG&JS happened....I wonder if anyone feels the same way?
