We won't hear any of that anytime soon. From time to time some generous souls come out of the blue and give us unreleased stuff - but for most of the time it's just individuals talking about stuff they're gonna keep for themselves. They may have their valid reasons for doing that but it's still frustrating. Reminds me of the time OasisDNA bragged about keeping it all for himself! He's certainly got his valid reasons for not sharing. We do get that. As I've said though, it's incredibly frustrating for us mere mortals who don't have the money or the connections to acquire unreleased stuff.

By the way, giving a CD/tape back to Noel or Ignition sounds like the WORST idea ever to me.
I bet they're sitting on lots of unreleased and unsorted stuff already. They're just not giving it away.
I can't wait to see another bonus disc filled with mislabelled live performances which have been bootlegged since 1996...

People spend a lot of time and money sorting this stuff out. Totally understandable not wanting to give it away. Would just be nice if we had an option like someone saying, you lot raise £2000 and it's yours.

This isn't meant to be a stupid question but if he were to put the unheard songs online, would he be likely to get into trouble with Ignition? Plenty of demos have been leaked before without any issues but then again they've almost all been demos of already released material, there's quite a lot of new stuff in this collection so would it land him in hot water with Noel's people? Sidenote: if he's saying that he'd rather give them back to Ignition for them to put out on a reissue then his expectations of that useless company are WAY too high Exactly this. If you gave it back to Ignition they'd probably lose it. Wasn't there an article a few years back saying what a state the Oasis catalogue was in? I think traders/fans need to realise that if we want a proper anthology project it's on us. Whether that be through donations or connections. Otherwise we're all going to be old and grey buying the 60th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe (lasagna picture vinyl) that has stuff like Columbia (Door closing in the background Take) Haha, spot on with Ignition. They are so shit. Was listening to the Definitely Maybe deluxe from ten years back, of all the live performances they sourced really shitty ones. That Supersonic rendition where Liam's vocals are poor..... it's genuinely harder to find a bad performance of Liam from that era than it is to find a good one. But somehow, Ignition fuck up. A joke of an organisation. If they're custodians of Oasis legacy, simple fact is there will be none.

Not linking the profile to avoid some people going there to harass the original poster but... woah The picture quality is low but I can figure out some names A CD from the DBTT sessions with The Roller on it. A 2006 CD with 13 acoustic songs. "4 ANYONE", maybe Oasis demo? I have one of those discs now. An instrumental soundcheck / live session from 2005 direct from the soundboard 1. Turn Up The Sun 2. Mucky Fingers 3. Lord Don't Slow Me Down 4. Ain't Got Nothin' 5. Love Like A Bomb 6. A Bell Will Ring 7. The Meaning Of Soul 8. Eyeball Tickler 9. Keep The Dream Alive Could this by any chance be a run through of potential tracks recorded early on in the Death in Vegas sessions? Just to test out the waters. Because the tracks performed PERFECTLY match what we know was available or written at this point in time, circa early 2004. No Lyla, Idle, Queue etc., which were all written or finished afterwards. Why would they soundcheck or rehearse those run of songs otherwise? This very running order seems peculiar to me. Can you tell if it's Whitey or Zak (or even Terry Kirkbride) on drums? Edit: 1,000th post. Time just flies fucking by.

If Part of the Queue was sung by Liam, it would be a contender for greatest Oasis song post-90s. Noel does a fine job, but again, when you have a star vocalist in Liam then just use him.

I believe you're also hitting on a big part of the problem regarding a proper release. Is Noel going to release a Liam takes of songs that he ended up singing? You'd think not given the current state of their relationship. I've seen a photo of a disc that is apparently takes of Liam doing Record Machine and Stop The Clocks. Noel made quite a big deal of Liam not turning up to record a vocal for RM, would he want it out there?

Does he even remember saying Liam didn't turn up to record that vocal? Seems doubtful to me.
Him not wanting to release a demo of Liam singing a song that he eventually sang seems like a more valid concern. OTOH there seem to have been hints in the last couple of years of things thawing a little between them, so... maybe?

If Part of the Queue / Where Did it All Go Wrong? / One Way Road / Full On / Shout it Out Loud / Little by Little / Falling Down / Come On Outside / Record Machine was sung by Liam, it would be a contender for greatest Oasis song post-90s. Noel does a fine job, but again, when you have a star vocalist in Liam then just use him. Added a few more. The amount of Noel-written, Liam-sang songs we were robbed of in the 2000's is angering to me, at times. It's not a complicated fucking formula!

He didn’t turn up to record the vocals for the Dig Out Your Soul sessions but they demoed RM and STC a good few times before then. Liam sung versions probably exist from the DBTT era.

They may have their valid reasons for doing that but it's still frustrating. For me it's frustrating and exciting at the same time. It's just exciting to know what's out there, and there's always a small chance we get to listen to it. As I said, the person who bought these tapes shared some stuff last year. So maybeeeeeee. As for people not wanting to share, I think there's two types of collectors. One of them just brags about it, never share, only pops up from time to time to remind you they have something you don't. No names needed. The other one shares, even if it's just a small part of what they have. Talks openly about it and explains why they won't share everything. And I get it, over the years they build some trust with people around the band or even the band themselves (I've seen pictures of Noel selling used gear to collectors) and they don't want to get in trouble and ruin potential new deals. Having said this, if I ever get my hands in something unreleased I'd totally share it.
