The FTM mix is an absolute shitfest (that marvelous clipping at the start of Stand By Me... truly some masterful mixing), but there's one thing good about it, they basically put Noel's guitar on the left channel and Gem's on the right, so if you are bored out of your ass, you can pay attention and notice who plays lead on which parts of a song, for example, and yes i know 99% of you probably already noticed that, just let me have this one, while Noel plays lead on most of DLBIA, Gem plays the last bit after the "least not today", and also the very end of Go Let It Out.

It was my first Oasis live recording and hearing who plays what was definitely quite interesting. |

The first half of Dig Out Your Soul is so freaking good. The Turning, Bag it Up, Shock of the Lightning or Falling Down feel really close to Morning Glory/Be Here Now levels of awesome to me.

The program director and also a DJ at CD102.5 in Columbus' last day at the station was Friday; her favorite band is Oasis....the last song she played on air was 'Stay Young'. You can stream the station online again, they play great misic: cd1025.comacquiesce19 . God bless. |

Five years since BE and ten years since DOYS; that's about it for the notable anniversaries this year. I have a feeling that 2018 will be a quieter year for the Gallaghers, but the tours will still keep it somewhat busy.

I know some people in this forum are all about brickwalling, but i can't get over how bad DM, WTSMG, BHN and even parts of SOTSOG sound, it's all this compressed mess, yes it's loud and that's what oasis is about, but for once i want to hear Noel's guitar clearly and not just a bunch of white noise with a lead guitar somewhere in there. Listening to Champagne Supernova vs. REM's The One I Love is like listening to a 1950's vynil vs. A modern lossless recording.
