This video always reminds me why I fucking love this band. WHAT FOR. "Now that you're mine, we'll find a way, of chasing the... sauna?"

mimmihopps Mean Mrs. MustardDutch translation of Don't Look Back In Anger. Sounds pretty good and I like what they did with the lyrics.

"Het is voorbij" They did very well, the best Dutch cover of Oasis classic. Years ago I was going to see them (when they were under a different name) in Paradiso as they would support the band I was going to see, but they cancelled last minute. Noel should listen to this with English subtitles! PS: Chiel sucks.

They weren't too bad.

After a few hurdles the DYKWIM? mix is coming on relatively well. A relatively even mix between the original and rethink so far with a few bonuses thrown in for good measure. Possibly even a new (or semi new) intro too! Just waiting for The Escapist to post his so I can steal some of his handiwork.

I wonder if the video of She Is Love will get a release some day. The video would be exactly the same as Songbird except Noel takes Liam's place

On the topic of BHN, I thought of this alternate track listing this morning. It's a little different, but I think it works well:
1. D'You Know What I Mean? 2. My Big Mouth 3. Be Here Now 4. Stand By Me 5. I Hope I Think I Know 6. The Girl in the Dirty Shirt 7. Fade In-Out 8. Stay Young 9. Don't Go Away 10. It's Getting Better (Man!!) 11. All Around the World (with an outro that's a mix of the original outro and the Reprise)

Record Machine had the potential to be one of Oasis’ classic tracks. The NGHFB version is nice, but doesn’t realize its true potential.
I remember when the demo leaked in May 2008....magical night, that.
Some times Oasis can really frustrate the fuck out of me.

Whenever I listen to The Materplan now, all I hear is the biblical conclusion to the Supersonic DVD with Noel’s voice over....spine chilling way to conclude that epic docu.

What exactly was gonna take that song to the next several levels and reach CLASSIC status? We have two versions, both are just ok. Bottom line is its not Led Zeppelin doing The Beatles. That was probably one of the best hype quotes about a song of all time.

Would be beyond monumental.

Record Machine could have been a modern Oasis classic, but the same thing imo could be said about let there be love, where did it all go wrong?, everybody's on the run, if I had a gun and even maybe born on a different cloud if only better producer or even arranged.

Oasis was basically missing that 2000-2009. Who stole their guitar solos?!?!?!?

Record Machine would never have been a classic. Songwriting is not good enough.

We have some glimpses with the likes of GLIO, Lyla, TIOBI....The Turninng has a nice solo too but it’s way too short. Who Built the Moon is actually the first Noel-related album that I thought the lack of solos were warranted (barring Beautiful World which I think could use one).

Roll It Over has a long guitar solo. But a fucking brilliant pink Floyd esque solo nevertheless.

I listened to The Shock of The Lightning ONE TIME yesterday and i cannot for life get it out of my head, did Noel made a pact with the devil to get this song stuck in people's head? I kind of hurt my finger while "drumming" it on my desk, and i do want to listen to it one more time but i'm afraid i'm gonna lose my hands if i do that.
edit: AND ALL IN GOOD TIME AND ALL IN GOOD TIME YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

On-topic. Paolo Hewitt is constantly mentioning in 'Getting High' that Noel wrote Live Forever before he had even joined Oasis. This isn't true, right? I'm quite sure it was written after they met The Realies. e. I guess I was too drunk last night and forgot a few important words in that sentence. Now it makes sense.
