Just heard Fort Knox and Holy Mountain 5 times each this morning. Now gonna listen to As You Were on the bus to work. It’s a great time to be alive!! “Now IIIII’m ali-ive!” Is Fort Knox actually being played on the radio? Doesn't strike me as a 'radio friendly' track. I don’t listen to the radio much so no idea. Radio X and Absolute would definitely play it though I imagine.

I stumbled across a Oasis playlist CD I made a couple years ago and aside from no Columbia it may be their greatest collection of songs. My goodness Definitely Maybe kicks ass!

WTS will rope you in, DM will make you stay. Agreed. WTSMG is a fantastic collection of pop songs, but DM has shoegaze guitars, madchester-inspired grooves and just sounds like a young band playing together.

in my honest opinion oasis were at the absolute best in 94 and the brief period in 95 when tony was still around, if you watch the 94 gig at the metro, that was one of the best performances by one of the coolest if not the coolest band ever, to paraphrase someone I forgot, they were all equally bad at their instruments but since theyve practised together since 91, it was a special and unique sound, noel was excellant as a vital cog in the oasis machine, but then he became too full of himself, liam and noel both thought they could hold the oasis spirit on their own, they couldnt, as much as i love everything after wtsmg it will never touch what dm had, but honestly with liams comeback im getting these amazing vibes from the gigs that harken back to them days, just look at the bbc radio video of some might say, look at the crowds and how they genuinely are enjoying themselves, you dont get that in modern music (theres a moment where two lads just look at one another looking really overjoyed that sms is actually being played), this tells me liams solo career is truly a great thing for everyone, people who are nostalgic and want to relive their past, and people who missed out and never got that experience from later day oasis.
i dont know if im the only one but these gigs are seriously better than the barrowlands and wembley imo, people absolutely love it, i would say the only gigs that come close to the 94 ones, cuz i can kind of relate to the band here, theyre not particularly great but neither were bonehead and co, the fact that liam doesnt get too strict on how they play unlike noel, letting them take each gig as practise until they click. might be best then for both brothers to stay solo because oasis will not happen the same way ever again but liams solo gigs and noels few oasis covers will be as close to it as it gets

Just thought about a possible source for the mysterious Liam vox Sad Song - soundcheck at the Royal Albert, June 1994. The song was debuted on Radio 1 a couple of days later, described as ''brand new'' by Noel and it seems likely that the soundcheck was used as a run through prior to its broadcast. Sonically, it sounds like a big empty hall. Why Noel became the vocalist is evidently lost to history.

All day today and yesterday the two biggest songs stuck in my head were Universal Gleam and She Taught Me How to Fly.
How lucky we truly are to be able to enjoy so much new music from the Gallaghers in 2017, so many years past their biggest band in the world period.

www.thsh.co.uk/news/a-moment-with-sir-michael-parkinsonWho has been the most surprising interviewee for you? ... More recently it was Noel Gallagher. I had to be persuaded to interview him. I had bought into the tabloid picture of him as an brainless, drunken yob. My production team headed by my son Michael thought otherwise and I reluctantly gave in. I’m glad I did. He was an intelligent, insightful, funny man and I liked him an awful lot.

I had bought into the tabloid picture of him as an brainless, drunken yob. My production team headed by my son Michael thought otherwise and I reluctantly gave in. I’m glad I did. He was an intelligent, insightful, funny man and I liked him an awful lot. Before I became a proper fan of Oasis, I actually thought the same. I thought they were dickheads that just happened to make good music by which I was a fan of a few tunes. But then I remember watching a documentary on the sitcom The Royle Family, and Noel contributed as a talking head, and I was surprised at how likeable and cool he came across. I honestly think the fact that many folk think they’re dickheads yet like their music just shows how objectively brilliant the music was. I recall watching a Consequence Of Sound video on ‘Masterpieces’ and it was reviewing Morning Glory. Being American, the Gallaghers never quite connected with their personalities and even though the reviewer admits theyre ‘dickheads’ which is a common perception amongst American critics it seems, he said you could easily excuse that for creating one of the greatest albums of all time. And I kind of really like that view (even though I like the Gallagher brothers), because when all is said and done, personalities of the band is trivial, and it is the music at the end of the day that will endure the test of time. It’s evidence that the greatness isn’t down to a fad for cult of personality but purely for the music.

When Oasis comes on in the background and someone is trying to talk to me, I seriously have trouble following the conversation. Shut the fuck up man, respect Oasis.

"Supersonic" is on a Dutch National TV as I type. I watched it in a cinema twice last year October (with Liam's Q&A live streaming), bought a DVD with Dutch subtitle and got the HMV exclusive DVD.
Now Bring It On Down from King Tuts is on my TV screen.

Watching the Man city game and they just showed Noel and Marr in the crowd and the commentator goes "as you can see the Gallagher brothers are in attendance"

How can you be British and not know that the Gallaghers don't speak anymore? I knew that even when I was nine and thought Oasis was a duo.

In the last few years of Oasis, Noel's backing vocals started to annoy me.
