When you're listening to other artists, knowing that you have Oasis in your back pocket, it's like driving a shite car even though you also own a Porsche. #Idiocy Interesting, but for me, I'd liken it to that one car you instantly fell in love years ago that gives you minimal problems and brings you something new and exciting for you to enjoy out of it, whereas other artists are like other cars that you love and enjoy driving, but it's just not like the first car you fell in love with and enjoyed that first time. But in a car you can go far, it just depends what kind of car you arela la la la....

"YOU'LL NEVER FORGET MY NAME!" Heck yeah, messing around with Audacity's EQ feature trying to bring out the dynamics in IHITIK. Love this song so much. I never used to give this song much time but it came on once and I was really blown away by it and now it just makes BHN so much better. "You tell me I'm free then you tie me down And from my chains I think it's a pity What did it cost you to wear my crown You don't like me why don't you admit it I feel a little down today, and I ain't got much to say But you're gonna miss me when I'm not there And you know I don't care, you know I don't care" brilliant lyrics. This one randomly came on when I had my music on my phone on shuffle and I hadn't heard it in ages! Fucking love it, cheered me up instantly.

A few hours ago, fresh from eating my tea, and after having had three cups of coffee, I was still having no luck getting through these piss-poor books on sustainable cities I'm supposed to read, so thought I'd put some music on quietly in the background to stop my mind wandering off. Stuck the latter end of The Cure's Disintegration on as it's all quite melancholy and there's not much singing on it, but for the hell of it, decided to put Definitely Maybe on after it had finished. God love Robert Smith, gloom has never sounded so good as when he wails over an arpeggio-ing electric guitar, but I instantly thought, from that first note of Rock 'n' Roll Star, 'ah, this is more like it...'
A young Liam Gallagher prior to losing his voice, singing songs written by a Noel Gallagher prior to becoming a Tory, is really all I need. Blows my mind every time.

People who constantly down on Oasis (You know the type), I just wanna throw tunes like IHITIK and make them realise the error of their ways.

I'm just going to interrupt for a second and say: This thread is brilliant. And you are fucking welcome.

Where Did It All Go Wrong? rocks. Massively underrated. After The Masterplan and DLBIA it's the best Noel sung Oasis tune.

Often people ask what Noel's best vocals are. Some say DLBIA, some say TIOBI, but to me Noel's best vocals are in the middle eight of Let There Be Love. Breathtaking.

The Masterplan should have been promoted as a real album and Noel should have used remixes as b-sides like all the other silly fuckers.
Like Liam said, Noel you ain't got a clue what you were releasing man.

On their early years Oasis should have released only two b-sides per single.
Blur used to release two b-sides per single, but also their b-sides were shit.
Even Suede used to put two b-sides per single, but they used to have outstanding b-sides in their early years.

Ok. Hung In A Bad Place is ace. Yeah, I just listened to that track yesterday for the first time in probably a decade (no exaggeration, I hate HC). And I must say, I actually fucking liked it! But Force of Nature is BANG out of order. Shameful, Noel.

But Force of Nature is BANG out of order. Shameful, Noel. Finishing up my recent run through of Heathen Chemistry. Still my least favorite Oasis album but it isn't a complete trainwreck. Better Man is still one of the worst songs ever.

I'm alright with Force of Nature actually. I mean, it's shit, but it's not COMPLETELY without merit.

And Noel sings it well tbf. Nice to hear him tackle something bit more rocking as well, not something we got to hear much with Oasis.

where did the energy go in oasis? listening to wonderwall in 98 then in 2005 they sound so bored, I mean listen to the general instrumental of this, theres so much interesting little things going on in it. The more I think about the more I think what oasis needed more than anything around that 02 era was a break, it mightve helped Liams voice recover and allowed Noel some time to get some inspiration back in his writing, Liams voice wasnt really the problem as a whole, the whole experience of oasis just wasnt there in the later years, his voice isnt even that great on that chile video but its still a great listen.
this is just boring in comparison, its so through the motions.
