I'm not really impressed by this band, the songs are a little cheesy... Anyway, I just read that Mark "Spike" Stent mixed DMA's upcoming album. There for I thought someone on hear were interested in this band. I just stumbled upon them and gonna dig into their back catalogue. I like Feels Like 37 (nice riff), Too Soon and Lay Down Blossoms are dropping a new EP tomorrow, probably the last one before their debut album |

Been listening to Holy Esque's album a lot over the last couple of days and it's great, probably my second favourite album of the year so far after Daughter. It's sort of post-punk with a bit of post-rock in there too.

New single from The Dandy Warhols. Album out April 8th.
I loved the track since they performed it in acoustic form a couple of years ago and I really hoped it would have a place on their new album. It's fucking awesome.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but ambient/post-rock band Hammock have a new album out on April 1st.
Love the new single, very shoegaze-ish.

Been listening to School of Seven Bells new (and final) album today after hearing one of the songs from it and it's great. Good mix of upbeat, synth pop and the more dreamy, layered songs. Hadn't ever listened to them before last night so going to give the rest of their albums a listen during the week. This song from the new album in particular is fantastic, possibly my favourite song of the year so far.

What does everyone think of DIIV's new album. It's a good album with a few great songs, particularly at the beginning, but I think it would benefit from being shorter. I find it difficult to stay interested beyond the title track. |
