Has anyone given the new Black Mountain a go yet? Some of the iTunes previews sound very promising.

For any Unkle fans on here, there is supposed to be a Psyence Fiction re-release some time this year. Its been in production for three years and is a gift from a successful Mo Wax Kickstarter campaign. James Lavelle finally commented on its progress on Unkle's Facebook page recently.

Lush have reunited after 20 years of inactivity and they're releasing a new EP called Blind Spot on Friday.
Here's the first track from the EP. I'm loving it at the moment... pure shoegaze with washy guitars and ethereal vocals!

I'm a little let down by M83's latest album. Only 2-3 decent tracks. It's packed full of absolute 1980s cheese music. It also has probably the WORST album cover of the year. Yikes!

Yeah it's not great is it? I like the three songs they released before the album came out and there's a couple of others on the album I like but the rest is really dull. Obviously it's different to M83's earlier albums but my main problem with it is that it's just nowhere as fun as Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.

Huge disappointment. It's miles away from what made me fall in love with Hurry Up, We're Dreaming... this is mostly a cheesy and dull impersonation of the '80s vibe. I like Solitude and Road Blaster, that's it. The rest is crap.

What do you guys think of SULKS new album No Illusions? It's out tomorrow but you can stream it on their Soundcloud. The songs are great, but the production is hit and miss. The vocals are drowning in the mix, which ruins some of the songs. Unfortunately. I understand what they were aiming for when they put that amount of reverb on them, but it's too much. The album is not better than their last one Graceless, I think. But as I said, many of the songs are great. Like "The Tape Of You", "Drifting", "Past Paradise" and "One Day". That's my favourite ones right now. For you who don't know; they sounds much like The Stone Roses, early Oasis and Ride. soundcloud.com/sulktheband/sets/no-illusions

Ooh merr gawd, Beck's album is becoming the new BHN reissue. It's only been 2 years since Morning Phase came out and he did win Grammy of The Year for it. Loads of pressure for the followup. Beck usually takes 3 years between releases. Just pray he doesn't take 6 years like he did between Modern Guilt and Morning Phase.

Yes, but: He released the lead single from this album 10 months ago, which got me hyped. Then he announced UK tour dates, which got me more hyped. Subsequently cancelled. He also recorded a lot of this album before Morning Phase came out (they were mooted to be released in the same year at one point...)

New RHCP out on June 17th. The single sounds cool. Hmmm...while I do like it generally speaking, there's something about it that I don't. I love the piano and bass throughout the song, I like how its oddly absent of guitar til the blistering end, and the vocals are fine but something about the song itself, moreso the chorus, that just sounds so...I don't know. But the cover art is great. I look forward to hearing more as they release it.

New Neil Young double live album Earth out June 24th, with 13 songs (98 mins) from his last tour. He's done something different with this live album, incorporating a variety of 'earth sounds' through out it -which admittedly does sound a little lame - but I'm interested and I've always got time for what this endlessly creative man puts out.

I'm pretty impressed with the new Twin Peaks album. If you like jangly garage rock with psychedelic flavors, this album is for you.
