Documentary release date later than planned? Seems plausible with anything to do with Oasis I suppose...probably won't be till November/December now will it?

These things take time- judging by requests from members who are working on the documentary I assume some things such as clearance for images, etc. are still being finalised, and other issues may still need overcoming before release.

I can't help but think that it will be good but ultimately a little disappointing if the rumors of a lack of {Probably} Guigsy and Alan White input or interviews are not on it. We have heard from everyone since 2004, even Tony who was on good terms with the band it seemed.
But no Guigs and Alan? Now that will be sad. I get that Guigs wants nothing to do with the band or the exposure it brings but it's a shame about Whitey. We never really got to know him. We know more about about him through Steve to be honest. He was a big part of that band.
Any new and interesting Oasis documentary is cool in my book but I don't want it to be the usual Noel pisstaking and not been held to task or the usual Liam soundbites because he is unable to actually construct a sentence. I just want a little more.

I just want a little more. I agree. I will be disappointed if this is just another documentary ie "lads from Burnage become biggest band!" with the stories we've all heard 1000x times. I completely agree if Noel goes unchallenged it's just once again his version which we all know full well is full of hyperbole and half truths. In order for this documentary to be truly interesting, it is going to have to approach it from some angle we've never seen before.

Calm down girls, they've interviewed more people than just Noel and Liam.

With any interesting band, there is the story you see (usually focused on success) and the story you don't (unless much later). Yes, they've interviewed more people but so did every other doc on them. My point is there needs to be something different about this one - perhaps the unseen history or something else - to make this worthwhile. Based on the asks so far, it seems like the same old, same old.

I'd guess the film makers could 'pull the rug' from underneath Noel and go full on different angle bit then he wouldn't give them the interesting behind the scenes footage. I'd guess while he's still pulling the strings it'll be the same old unfortunately vs open/honest angle's that I'm sure their is many off

They've probably uncovered a lot of previously unseen material, but as they were doing drugs a lot, alledgedly, there's a lot they can't show.

They've probably uncovered a lot of previously unseen material, but as they were doing drugs a lot, alledgedly, there's a lot they can't show. i am sure that was a 'liberty' of the truth / a typical noel quote for the press even if its 5 hours of footage but I'm sure is maybe 100's of hours the amount of actual drug taking be very very small % (and as such itll be there, sure they are on drugs in footage but when werent they in 90's footage ) I'm guessing over the years lots of people have come out having 'grudges' id guess some will be legit, so there probably is an alternative rise to the top we've not ever really heard so the mixing of the boys from burnage dream and the other side be great. Obviously the real people got a pay off with and silenced from the courts with the deal. Be interesting if that has a 'time limit' on disclosure if so maybe nearing 25 years be a reasonable time limit. Noel recently given them some love so maybe we might here about that at some point

What I don't want is the same old documentary we've all seen before. If you're going to do it for theatrical release, have more thought put into than your average MTV "Behind the Music". And since when can't drugs be shown? If you're referring to Cocksucker Blues being shelved, that was over 40 years ago. Heck, watch Intervention on TV (a US show) and see loads of it
