We try to take some pictures at least later of the screening. Depending on the security. We watched some weird screening yesterday and there was actually no security at all but it changes I guess.

I have been told, that the trailer will be released after the reunion, by a source close to Beady's Mighty Eye. This source by any chance?

...(he goes by the name of) Oasisblues.
On a lighter note uǝɥʇɐǝɥ did you know Oasisblues is now a hairdresser living in Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex? It appears he has swapped cutting comments for cutting hair, so good for him!

No band in history has dropped the ball in marketing, social media and public relations than Oasis. They could have been bigger than U2

I was a bit bummed when I heard it was going to be released a few weeks before I visited the UK. At this rate, I just might be in luck...

Taking pics wasn't possible but I have something else for you a little later when we are back in Cardiff. Due to all the mud they closed the parking field so we just got out.
Just a few sentences about this "preview". I'vebeen to a few previews before and always saw the complete movies. Sometimes different cuts but still full movies. The thing yesterday was nothing more than a long trailer. So I was pissed a little. Anyway it was still nice to see it and the Q&A was fine too. Mat is really a nice guy. A trailer and proper information he expects any day. But it's not in his hands.
As for promotion for the movie they really should have started this a long time ago already. I talked with some of the people at the festival. Nobody knew about an Oasis movie. They thought the preview is just some stuff cause of Noels gig later on like old music videos. And those were all people who knew and liked Oasis, just not as much as checking into forums everyday to get infos like that.
Oh and Paul Weller joined Noel on stage doing Pretty Green and Town Called Malice.
More about the stuff we saw later when we are back.

Right, well, I don't think they will - but it doesn't matter. It's publicity. It's something at least. Let's keep this going for the final stretch. Gimme that trailer TODAY.

We've only got 27 days to wait for the full film! I'm actually tempted to not bother watching a trailer now and go in to the cinema with zero preconceptions. I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema having not seen the trailer beforehand, I like to be sure about a film normally as your paying about £10 even for the cheap seats nowadays.

I just saw NME already did my job so here a few additions to the article. As I said nothing more than a longer trailer (maybe 10 minutes) which is pretty shit in my opinion. Don´t know whos fault it is but to me a preview means something different. The place was half empty which I blame on the lack of promotion for this movie (as I said above none of the people I talked to knew that there will be an Oasis movie, a few thought Liam might do a Beatles movie but that´s it) and that Noel played right after the screening so time-table-wise it would have been a hurry but Noel started a few minutes late and as the weather was shit there weren´t too many people anyway. The clips: The arm wrestle scene was before SMS at TOTP (Tony version). Funny to watch but that´s all you can say about it. The comments NME wrote about the relationship were not in context to that clip. That was said over a clip the Gallaghers arguing about something backstage after a gig (don´t know which one but looked like 95). The Japan stuff was really cool to watch. They showed them walking outside on the street, at an airport and backstage. The girls went crazy for them, reminded me a lot of The Beatles footage we all know. And you really could feel how much Liam enjoyed his stardom already at that time. By the way japanese people really are crazy. Need to go there someday Here´s a pic from the screening I found at instagram The Q&A didn´t give a lot news. Mat enjoyed doing the movie, they had some hard time getting footage for some parts. Liam and Noel both were happy to contribute and they had fun doing the interviews. I talked to him a couple of minutes after that all and he said as far as he knows there won´t be any delay. Asking about the lack of promotion he just said it´s not in his hands but he thought too there would be more information until this day. Well that´s what I can say about this at the moment. I´m sure I will remember some stuff later on but we didn´t sleep too much this last couple of days and unfortunately there wasn´t a lot to see anyway. On a side note. I actually flew to Wales just because of the screening. Noels gig was not my priority but he really made me a little bit a fan of him (solo) after seeing him in Swansea and at the Festval in 3 days. Could be the luck of Swansea being a just a great gig and Paul Weller joining him yesterday and he was in a good mood but without those gigs I would be really pissed because I had a lot more hope for the screening. So hats off to Noel, nice job Oh and as I said no we didn´t take any pictures because there was a tight security and we sat in the front row but my friend had his gopro with him. So we will take a look at it tonight and then decide what to do with it. We don´t wanna get in trouble of course but at least the Q&A shouldn´t be a problem. But Noels gig will be up soon. One more thing. Although those 10 minutes were a disappointment to me because of the length I can´t wait to watch the whole movie soon. They did a great job from what I saw.

Liam adds: "I think it all boils down to the fact that when Noel bought a stereo years ago and we shared a room, I think one night I'd come in pissed and I couldn't find the light switch so I pissed all over his new stereo. I think it basically boils down to that. He's held that grudge ever since."
It looks like this doc is going to be comedy genius.

I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema having not seen the trailer beforehand, I like to be sure about a film normally as your paying about £10 even for the cheap seats nowadays. I'm not so bothered about getting the trailer for myself (although, you can be sure, there's no way I'll be holding back from watching it), because I know I'll be seeing the film whatever. The point of a trailer is to sell a film, and I was sold on it before they even set to making the thing. I just want it out there now, so that EVERYONE ELSE can see it. The kids are going back to school now, so parents holding down jobs and having to do the school run and all that again, haven't the time to be scouring sites like this. There needs to be a short and snappy trailer that tells you everything you need to know, out there and made ACCESSIBLE. Documentary films about musicians have done well in recent years (there's been a Pulp one, a Wilco Johnson one, the Amy Winehouse one, and Nick Cave's grabbed two for himself - the greedy sod!), so this is a big opportunity to capitalise on that and sell the band to the general public again; and, who knows, maybe shine a different light on the Gallagher brothers in the process... But really, if it does nothing other than remind people that Oasis were the bollocks, it'll still have had its worth. Because that's a fact that all too often gets ignored (or even, in the case of some extremely twattish journalists, scoffed at) these days. And so, wherever that trailer may currently be, in the immortal words of Delia Smith: LET'S BE HAVIN' YOOOOOOOU

Eh, Mike Williams & Co., you changed that 7/10 review you wrote for Morning Glory yet? Lol I don't love them either really, they were already on the wane before Britpop but had a resurgence by engineering the war with Blur. I think I have mentioned this before but the obvious beginning of the end for the NME was when Teenage Fanclub's manager Chas Banks was trying to get them a cover slot to generate interest in 'Grand Prix', when the NME editor Steve Sutherland was interrupted by a telephone call saying that The Boo Radleys had a #7 midweek chart position with the 'Wake Up' single and sealed a cover deal before the phone call was over. Chas made a prophetic observation a few weeks later at a conference when he said that based on the incident with Steve Sutherland the days of obscure bands like the Jesus & Mary Chain getting NME covers so as to break them was over, and in two years time Take That would be on the cover. A lot of people laughed but just over a year later this was a front cover- Britpop for me was the moment NME lost interest in promoting any form of new music and instead focused on chasing or creating scenes, putting high selling artists on the cover and generally aiming for advertising revenue on high circulation sales.
