YES That's amazing news. Thought I'd might have to travel somewhere to see it.

Would be a nice touch if it happened like that.... But maybe we're giving the oasis management a bit too much credit assuming they've planned it all out that well...

It's all part of 'The Masterplan'... Along with reissuing Morning Glory 19 years after it came out, and arsing about with Definitely Maybe's cover and accompanying lyrics booklet artwork, then?

Thanks to Tom Stroud for the heads up on this... he's just got the latest Q magazine and inside it says that SUPERSONIC includes the Tim Abbott Champagne Supernova vocal footage, also material from Marcus Russell's own archive.
The magazine article goes on to state that the Word rehearsal features too, alongside animated reconstructions of certain scenes where no footage survives. Can't wait to see this...

Is there any knowledge if there will be extras on the DVD/BR? 90 Minutes as stated at amazon sounds a bit short.
Btw I checked imdb before, it says there will only be archive footage of Guigsy. Think that´s quite sad. Would have loved to see and hear him for at least a couple of seconds.

This sound REALLY good and really well done. Indeed. Mention of animated sequences has also sparked a memory of Montage of Heck, the documentary about Kurt Cobain. The animated sections there were highly effective as a storytelling device, as well as helping to vary the look of the film in sections that otherwise would be dominated by archive footage. The archive clips looked great too... I think they re-scanned the camera negatives of some music videos in HD, including Heart Shaped Box.

So an hour and a half isn't out of the question.

Unseen Performances, deleted scenes, interviews, etc.

Think that´s quite sad. Would have loved to see and hear him for at least a couple of seconds. It would have been nice but even back in 2003 he explained after being invited to participate in the tenth anniversary Definitely Maybe DVD that he was happiest having a low profile, wasn't keen on being interviewed especially in front of a camera, but did simply say he had "the best time of my life" with Oasis. I think it is reflective of his personality, an introverted sort who prefers to keep out of the limelight and as such has no interest in taking part in such releases.

Got to enjoy the high points, then rode off into the sunset withoout a care in the world and a pile of cash.
