October 2017 seems somewhat possible. HFB to CY was 3 years (or would have been if not for the reschedule caused by the Oasis remasters), the next one could be another 3 years later. HFB - October 2011 CY - could have been October 2014, finished July 2014 HFB3 - October 2017?
Of course, it's Noel, so it's probably just going to be announcement of an announcement September 2017, announcement October 2017, album March 2018...

Noel should take a break and help out Liam by ghostwriting his album.

SO WHEN WE GONNA HEAR THIS THEN!?!? Even more an appropriate song if you know the history of Creation Records re: Alan McGee and Kevin Shields

Imagine if Oasis broke up in 2009 and Liam went and did his Beady Eye thing, but Noel went into hiding for whatever reason. THEN Oasis reunited this year with one last album/tour..
1. Everybody's on the run (Liam vox) 2. You know we can't go back (Liam vox) 3. AKA... What a life! 4. Lock all the doors (Liam vox) 5. (I wanna live in a dream in my) record machine (Liam vox) 6. AKA... The ballad of the mighty I 7. The right stuff (Liam vox) 8. Freaky teeth (Liam vox) 9. (Stranded on the) wrong beach (Liam vox) 10. A simple game of genius (Liam vox)
B-Sides/bonus tracks 1. Alone on the rope 2. Let the Lord shine a light on me 3. Do the damage (Liam vox) 4. Dream on (Liam vox)
I know a lot of people don't like hypothetical scenarios... but I do.

^ Everybody's on the run is impossible with Liam's vocals in their current state, so yeah, rather not.

I thought that "Just let it come down over me" would have featured on the last album. Maybe make the 3rd. I think it's a nice little acoustic number that maybe finishes the album

In this scenario we don't get half of Noel's solo tracks, including several great ones, and it's pretty unrealistic to have an Oasis album like that. Any 8th album would have included LAG songs, and Liam has said that he doesn't like the more experimental things Noel has done - so definitely no The Right Stuff, probably no What a Life and BOTMI in their current forms. Apart from the Liam vocals, it would have been much worse than HFB, and we don't even know if Liam could pull off these songs.

Im envisioning someone will walk into the studio and mention be here now in passing and Noel get all paranoid and before you know it he'll be gathering the mastertapes up and setting fires. but then the be here now reissue will come out and he'll just be like because Noel logic.

He was happy singing the more experimental stuff on SOTSOG and has collaborated with Death in Vegas and Prodigy so I don't think that would have been an issue

Let's wait for his solo album to find out...but IMO when Liam had the chance to experiment with Beady Eye he didn't come close to the levels of The Right Stuff or BOTMI, so I believe him when he slags off those songs.

looking like september time next year then if he really is cracking on with it, maybe finish it up around march then allowing for a break and pre release build.

I guess that does sound right considering he put that pic of him in the studio on his birthday 10 months before the second album actually came out. We will probably see Liam's new album first.

Some bits of useless info about that Instagram post: 1) the amp is a Fender Twin Reverb, famous for its great "clean" guitar tones (Johnny Marr used it a lot when he was in The Smiths and he still uses it today). 2) The guitar is new- ish, too. I bet he bought it during last year's US tour in May, as he used it only once at the NY Randall Island gig ( video here), as far as I know. It's a Nash JM-63, a super-expensive handcrafted version of a Fender Jazzmaster (by the way he seems to love those Nash instruments, in the last years he bought a Tele model, a Strat, this Jazzmaster and the Tele/Jazz hybrid which he used for ITHOTM at recent gigs). What's interesting is that the Jazzmaster isn't really one of Noel's traditional guitars. I mean, it's more a shoegaze/post-rock kind of guitar. When I see one I always think of Kevin Shields from My Bloody Valentine. Could it be that Noel is really getting more ambitious and eclectic with this album? 3) I don't have a clue about the shoes

This will be a biblical year for music. Both Gallagher's, gorillaz and arcade fire have an album coming out.

Seriously though, I hope he gets out of his comfort zone this time. Need some more ambient production akin to WTSRTS!
