This gig will be almost exactly 2 months from Noel's album release. The ball is starting to roll people. Make way.

Yeah, there's no way these ACL live prices are correct. This is a ticket reseller that has jacked up prices. That said, I'm so excited he is playing this venue (though he's not on ACL Live's official calendar yet). This is a place where top brass play in Austin. Probably the most respected venue in town. Source: I'm an Austinite.

Don't understand the complete lack of silence from Noel or his management. It's like they're trying to do a surprise album release...without the surprise. By now, we should have Noel doing radio, we should know the name of the first single, it's release date, etc...but...
...silence.

That is so close to November 10th. Something has gotta give soon. Noel would never ever ever surprise launch it. Would be amazing though. Less fuss for all involved.

Gross speculation here: but I wonder if the way Noel wrote this record (in the studio) produced a lack of radio-friendly singles and that's what's keeping the mystery going here. Maybe his management are struggling to come up with a lead single. His bassist described the album as "cinematic" -- maybe that's code for "more album-driven and less 3-minute single-driven"

Could possibly be down to Liam dominating the news cycle at the minute and being keen to keep them both as separate artists in casual fans heads- this could have been compounded by the way in which Liam has been welcomed back I don't Ignition are set up to do surprise releases, and since Noel's mainly selling to older folk (comparatively), being in all the supermarkets before Christmas is the main thing. You could take it further and say that the point of the record is to get back on the road anyway, so again, tickets on sale for big gigs before Christmas, straight into the stockings. I think the cycle is starting though- news of the Austin gig could mean a similar pattern to 2016, where he played a few US gigs before heading through South America on Lollapalooza (Argentina, Chile, Brazil) and then through Australia/Asia for a few gigs too, before bigger summer UK & Europe gigs.

I was thinking the exact same thing. That would be really awesome if Noel came out with a song that's close to how Discotheque is. BHN with more of an electronic approach, and then SOTSOG being like the Kid A to BHN, would've been really cool. What would've been cool is if they would've taken more time to work on BHN and if Noel would've gone a step further and brought The Chemical Brothers in to produce BHN. That would've been very interesting. Why are you people SO OBSESSED with Noel doing electronic DJ shit? Why are you even Oasis fans?? Get your blips and beeps from King of Limbs and just please let Noel do what he does best: write amazing rock songs that make stadiums fall to their knees. I just now saw this and it made me laugh out loud (and all the cry baby, hypocritical, responses about not respecting their musical opinions). This actually sounds like something Noel would've said way back when, "blips and bleeps," ha!

Noel did that extraordinarily long release cycle last time. Maybe he's going for the ultra fast cycle this time. First single a week before album drops or something. Maybe 2 weeks notice.

Noel gonna be doing a lot of press at that charity gig. Album questions will surely be asked and Noel will surely answer if he hasn't already done so by that point.

The Death of You and Me was premiered 80 days before the album release date. We're 83 days away from November 9th (which can't be the correct date, but nevermind). We're gonna get the announcement and first single within three weeks, just enjoy the calm before the hype train leaves the station.

I think someone mentioned that he played a new song during a soundcheck, not sure if that's true or not but seems reasonable

Could have mis-heard myself, but I thought Russell said they "practiced" it (like in the closed door rehearsals, not the actual soundcheck).

I can't remember what his exact words were right now.

As far as I know, we've have four pieces of new album of information:
Substantiated: - Russell's podcast - Soundcheck new song - The bloke who tweeted a pic of the demo disc and said "Mad different...etc"
Unsubstantiated: - Beautiful World (which has no evidence)
Did I miss anything Substantiated?

They've rehearsed it at soundchecks and it was ready enough that Russ thought Noel could drop it in at any moment
