We can expect that and if it is this timeline DJs are going to listen to the first single in 2-3 weeks. Unless that leads to an early leak, I can't see what's to be gained by that; it's not like we will get a good idea of what the song is supposed to sound like. I doubt most radio DJs are qualified to describe music beyond the usual "it rocks", "this is going to be a hit", "it's got a good beat" and so on. I'm going to anticipate the first tweet to save you some time: "Blasting the new NGHFB track. It's different to his previous solo stuff, but still good". Well, that IS actually pretty much what we've heard about it so far from people who have heard it.

Did someone read this article? Nothing interesting, really. Just another confirmation that the album is coming later this year.

Going by the demos released on Faster Than The Speed of Magic and previous descriptions of the side sessions of Dig Out Your Soul which Noel and Gem recorded then the following songs are thought to have been laid down : Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks Freaky Teeth Dream On (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach They are all demoed in a similar rough way but nothing is 100% confirmed, only references in some interviews without titles being mentioned. I think Freaky Teeth was first named during the Dig Out Your Soul tour around the time of Daniel Craig making an appearance at a gig and Noel saying he had a Bond tune for him to use. I wouldn't put money on there being a Liam sung version as Noel told Sardy they weren't using any of the songs for the album but you never know. I don't think any of us would ever have thought we would hear Liam singing Sad Song! So where those songs around during the DOYS sessions? Those 4, with Stop the Clocks and Record Machine are the only songs I can imagine Liam singing. Wasnt The Good Rebel written/attempted in the HC recording sessions?

I've always said the sales figure often quoted here for DBTT (6 million) were way over inflated. If it didn't sell a million in England and under 200,000 in America then it's nowhere near that often repeated 6 million total. Sorry but it just can't be. Maybe 2-3 million.

And it says Heathen Chemistry sold 4.5 million, could that be true? Heathen Chemistry sold a bit over 3.5 million worldwide, according to Oasisnet and various other websites. Edit: Could be 4.5 of course, if you count up the singles to that amount.

Found someone on Twitter who's been to a lot of the stadium shows. They say that Noel did in fact sound check a new song at Twickenham. They weren't able to record it, but were able to remember some details about the song. This may coincide with what Russsell said. This was my exchange with them: Twitter: "It's upbeat, very catchy. Guitars and all. Very danceable and easy chorus. Would make a great single. Don't know about lyrics or anything as I couldnt hear it that well, that's why there's no recording either" Me: "Thanks for answering! Is there any guitar solo or any instrument that really stood out?" Twitter: "I don't remember that, the only thing that stood out to me is the chorus " Me: "was it a terribly long song or did it feel like 3, 4, 5 minutes?" Twitter: "Oh no it's a short song. It feels like single material so . Chorus is a bit like "She's got it, she does it, pa pa pa pa pa"... Hard to describe the rhythm. Don't even know if that's any part of the lyrics at all. 😂"

And it says Heathen Chemistry sold 4.5 million, could that be true? Are not these numbers just the number of albums ordered by dealers? If that's the case, then it's possible. It also means that there are at least a million copies sitting around in various warehouses at present.

Was just thinking that this is first time since Be Here Now that we NO IDEA ABOUT ANY SONGS upcoming on this record.
Since the SOTSOG demos leaked, us die-hard fans have always been a "few steps ahead" and knew a few tracks (demos or just song titles) before each new album. Since this album was written 100% in the studio, we are to assume that NONE of the songs we know he has in the vault are going to be on it.
Unless he sneaks one on there...

And for me this is a GREAT thing. I want all new and fresh material. All we got to go with is this news about Beautiful World and being Discotheque driven.

Even on Be Here Now, we knew a few of the songs - My Big Mouth and It's Getting Better Man had been played a year earlier. All Around The World has been mentioned as well. I'd be amazed if not one song we know about was on there. Maybe 'Don't Stop'.
