That picture is interesting. Gem and Russell aren't playing. Noel and Chris are. Will Noel peform a song acapella? Like Liam?

"As you weren't" Loving it. Subtle jab, but not inflammatory. Noel's style.
I wonder if Noel is worried that Liam will win the album war this go around? In the meantime, at least we get to enjoy the buildup and competition between them both. It's like a presidential election without all the stress. Just pure entertainment.
Hopefully Noel will drop first single in a month or less.

I just love how the tribe of Liam's fanboys react when Noel allowes himself to make a subtle, yet spot-on remark like Today. Calling him a C*NT on Instagram, cause he wrote "As you weren't"? Not funny for you? You all probably drool out of excitement while reading Liam's everyday cringeworthy rants, but "As you weren't" is too much for you? Liam fanboys are the equivalent of Trump supporters. seriously, isn't this the first time noel has acknowledged liam's solo career? after years of provoking "r kid" tweets

Liam fanboys are the equivalent of Trump supporters. Everyone's fan base contain some idiots. Some coldplay fans were genuinely gutted by the fact Liam and Coldplay performed together at the One Love Manchester concert, can't get over the digs Liam gave in the past. Some NG fanboys' never-ending "Liam's nothing without Noel" is annoying too. They are boring because they are shallow-minded, not of who they support.

Now what if he actually calls the album As You Weren't Let's just hope it's not KISS-KISS. That's the name of a collection of short stories by Roald Dahl actually, a collection which I highly recommend.

Just spoke to someone who has been lucky enough to hear one song off the album yesterday. Says it's called Beautiful World. Says to imagine Chemical Brothers meets Falling Down but more modern sounding. Says it's the best thing Noels done solo. He's hoping to hear more soon. Can't say I've been looking that forward to this album as thought last one was a letdown but definitely looking more forward to it now he's raving about this song.

Noel has sent the album out to some friends/musicians & one of them played it over the phone to my mate. I realise it's a pretty shitty bit of information but hey ho it's something all the same.

Maybe I'm naive but I believe your information. You've been a solid poster over the years, bantered with me in the past and had key Noel news before. Most recently with Gem/Chris in, Tim/Jeremy out long before that instagram photo. Let's go!!!! 8-

If true, then that description is music to my ears. Until I hear the actual music of course. Has Noel finally grown a pair and moving away from his dad rock shtick?

Everything we've heard about this album has been people say that it's change of direction. People like Holmes and John McClure of Reverend and the Pace makers. As with most Gallagher related releases, the proof will be in the pudding. But so far, so good.

As with most Gallagher related releases, the proof will be in the pudding. But so far, so good. Not really clued up about Reverend & The Makers, I just hope they're not that type who are prone to typical Brit ladrock hyperbole. Calling Noel 'dadrock' is a bit of a sneer from myself, which is maybe a bit unfair as the time I saw him live he was outstanding. But I just don't find myself going back to his albums these days - the true test of a good album is one that you revisit not just one year down the line, but 5-10 years down the line. And I'm just not getting that urge with Noel's two solo records anymore. I'd listen to his first one frequently for a few years, and I listened to Chasing Yesterday frequently for about a year. But since the tail end of 2015, my feelings of Noel's albums has dissipated. Because of that increasing sense of indifference towards his solo work, this album really is make or break for me personally. This is the one for me which will confirm whether Noel has only a glorious past or an exciting future ahead of him.

Just as much if not more, and I still listen to classic Oasis. Aside from a handful of Noel songs, I've got bored with the rest of them. I mean when you get absolute tripe like Girl With X Ray Eyes, it really knocks your faith in what he's capable of these days. Sonically dull, vocally dull, melodically cliched and lyrically appalling, it's the sort of song that really makes you think he's trapped in an endless stupor of his own making thanks to his long standing conservative and unambitious ways. And as a result, his songwriting has slowly been grinded down to the lowest common denominator due the musical straitjacket he imposes on himself.

I can't listen to his music without being sick.
