Sounded fine both times I went to see him. Especially In The Heat Of The Moment and The Mexican, perhaps the two lesser songs on CY, worked very well. The Dying Of The Light was a bit of a snoozefest and Riverman was a bit of a downer though. I thought Lock All The Doors and You Know We Can't Go Back were good live as well. Oh definitely. But I think these stuck out as they're seen as the worst and best songs on the album respectively. For what it's worth: Both times I've heard Ballad of the mighty I, it sounded good too, especially the first time. Noel has quite a bit of power in his voice.

In my humble opinion........................If I Had A Gun and Dying of The Light were both very boring live. I much preferred While The Song Remains The Same, Stranded On The Wrong Beach or The Mexican. Yes the fucking Mexican because it kicks ass live. He has never done While The Song Remains tThe Same, which is a shame. Anyway, defo agree with the rest, as that's pretty much what I said as well.

I'll guess 5 HFB tunes and 5 Oasis tunes. He didn't play any Chasing Yesterday songs at the Teenage Cancer Trust did he? I didn't bother going to any of his Chasing Yesterday gigs, but hearing them live, I get the impression they didn't work quite as well as ones from his debut album? I saw him four times on the last tour. They worked just fine, though the last leg (April last year) was his best set list (Listen Up, Talk Tonight, Spaceman, Sad Song etc).

He said, on Brand's Radio X show, that it's scheduled for November.

It can't be November. He'd have released two singles by now if it was.

No chance it will be released in November. Add another 5 months on to that.

"...you can only release a record at two particular times of the year if you're me. One's October, and one's March...". Aims for November release.

Do we think he's been working on an album to release before touring with U2?
Or more likely will he tour his back catalogue as support for a few dates (how long is he supporting u2?) then take some time off before releasing the album and touring himself next year.

Expect a new single/announcement of a new album later this year (depending on when Liam is doing his stuff maybe). New album released spring next year.

Noel said November yesterday, I can't see why it should be pushed back. If he was indeed mastering (or mixing) the album in NY last week, then everything is pretty much finished. People at his record label will probably deal with the artwork, distribution deals, gig planning, etc in the next two months and then they're done. I still believe that the July Joshua Tree support gigs are perfectly timed (well, in the mind of Noel's management) for announcing an album which is out in October or November. Announcement and first single in July, second single in September and album out in November is my guess. A flawless pre-internet, medieval release strategy...

This goes for both Liam and Noel: I'll see it when an official release date is made public. Until that there's no point.

Noel said in a radio program with Russel Brand that the album release date will be in November. And also includes a track called 'Instrumental 3'

Noel will pick any reason to delay a record and sit on a sofa for another 6 months.

Noel will pick any reason to delay a record and sit on a sofa for another 6 months. I'm not so sure about that. He seemed pretty upset about having to delay Chasing Yesterday because of the Oasis reissues.
