I don't think it would've fit on WBTM. Hopefully it's in the next one or he puts it on a single as a b-side. If there's any. Ya but I wish he would release it as a christmas single since he already recorded it for his first album, it could sound like If I had a gun or something like Dave Sardy produced. Just a song in the same league as dead in the water (melodic and all.. liked it a lot coz of the half the world away vibe and could be another theme tune on tv..

As Gas Panic stopped counting, I'll take over his job. 2 days until Who Built The Moon hits the shelves!
and 2 days until I hold my copy and listen to it for the very first time!

This record is too short, it's like "it's over already". ONE MORE SONG NEEDED, Thanx. Management, i know you are reading this, there is still one day left to fix that mistake.

Yeh, i agree in that sense - I said last night that I feel like this leaves me wanting more... But I also think that's why I like the album over As You Were, which is great, but probably one or two songs too long.

I'd have swaped one of the instrumental with a proper song, and it'd be perfect.

I've listened to it twice this morning and I got nothing.
Wholly unmemorable half-baked too long songs especially in the second half.
I'm listening again but I fully expect to delete everything bar Holy Mountain by the end of today.

Woo very harsh verdict this is obviously going to be a love it or hate it album which is good and what Noel was wanting.

Great album but I agree,it feels short. I guess that the problem is having 3 instrumentals on an 11 track album and releasing one of them as a single. Bad move on the management right there. I hope that we're lucky enough to get a new album next year. Noel has never done something like that, but thinking of Jake Bugg,he released an album last year and the management were so poor that he went into the studio again and released another album a few months ago. That was great because the last album was kinda shit. This album is great but it went over too soon. Anyway, I must say that the album feels really progressive and evolutive looking back at Chasing Yesterday. Definitely a transition album. You can hear in this album some sounds that are familiar from the last one,the keyboard in If Love Is The Law sounds exactly like the one during While The Song Remains The Same. Air instrumentation is present in the album just like Riverman. And the psychodelic-spacey vibe on The Right Stuff is present in Wednesday and BCWYWF. This album is a great way to step forward, and actually I think Noel didn't do it on pourpose. I don't think that his 4th album will be out next year,he hasn't even started the tour, but what a nice surprise would it be right?

Noel seemed quite peeved when he had to repeat that fact in a few interviews last week. I'm pretty sure it was put out there purely as a result of the diverse response to Holy Mountain tbh.

X You know what, i was thinking the same thing last night, Come on Outside just before The Man Who built the Moon, and bam, perfect. F you David Holmes and your writing in the studio rules. I'd also let The Man Who built the Moon be the closer, the instrumental behind it seems really unecessary. I raise my overall note to this record to a strong 8.

'Come On Outside' seems just perfect - if given the Holmes treatment - to bridge the gap between ILITL and 'The Man...' Then again, I suppose it'd be two big, climactic songs in a row.

TMWBTM is more subtle, a great album closer. It would have worked no doubt.

I am worried to listen to this. Liam has been on fire, granted Liam had professional songwriters on it. Feel like Noel's will be an ok album with a theme and feel. Liam will have the belters and classic DBTT sounding Oasis stuff. Wish I Never Wanna Be Like You (like) and It Doesn't Have To Be That Way (ok) replaced I Get By and Chinatown. Anyways Noel's album finished downloading. Time to Listen. Wish me luck

Take away the fact that Liam has done so well, or what has come before from both of them, and the fighting. Musically speaking, it's very different to what either of them has put out before, and that's a good thing imo. Not definitely better or definitely worse, but it's a change that was needed. Enjoy it!

Man, Keep on Reaching went on shuffle and what a tune, if Fort Knox weren't on the album this would be my pick for the opener.
