I hope he plays The Man Who Built The Moon Live.
And he plays Be Careful For What You Wish For and Waiting For The Rapture back to back.

I can´t find the leak fuck. I can't either. Every fucking leak I click on takes me through a thousand quizzes or questionnaires to win a prize - and nothing happens once you've spent a lifetime clicking through.

I’m waiting till Friday, though I did hear the snippet of Careful on that French show. Reading the reactions here (even the negative ones) is making even more excited to hear the album in a few days!

I don’t think this album will have legs. Not outside of the loyal few anyway. Listened through 3 times now and wouldn’t be troubled if a 4th time never happened. Don’t see any of this music staying in the consciousness of the wider public and definitely don’t think it’ll have any importance culturally. Fair fucks to Noel for playing around with branching out a little bit the results don’t make for what would ever be considered a work of great value. I think it’ll become a forgotten album as time passes.

It might not be as popular as his other two, but I think it will age very well, once people re-evaluate it away from the initial divisiveness of the new sound.

I think it’ll become a forgotten album as time passes. I agree. Once the novelty wears off, i think it'll be quickly forgotten. It just hasn't got the songs, no matter what production it's wrapped up in. I don't ever expect a Noel Gallagher album to be in the consciousness of the public or culturally important though. He's a 50 year old guy who was at his best over 20 years ago, that's the reality and it's how he's perceived. The only reason he gets more press than most his age is because he's good for a quote and headline when interviewed. In terms of popular culture, he's irrelevant, which isn't a bad thing when you see the shite around. I'm sure he would agree himself that he's had his day a long time ago in terms of being influential. His music is really only important to a group of people who are loyal enough fans to sit on a forum, which isn't many in the grand scheme of things. Even the majority of people that go to his gigs are probably casual fans that are there for a night out. I know what you mean though, i don't even think it'll grab the attention of those kind of people in a major way. Nobody seems to be talking about it other than dedicated fans. Even features about Liam's album seemed to be all over. He was having articles about his music everywhere, even from the likes of LADbible which is absolutely massive, even if it's full of nonsense. Nobody seems to care what Noel's doing, except having a laugh about the scissors for a day or two.

If you don't feel like using torrents try Soulseek. An old, obscure software... but does the trick - and you don't share yourself so your ass is safe

It’s not an unfamiliar sound that is the main problem for me. For me the biggest stumbling block is just how poppy much of this is. We’ve had terms bandied around like “different” and “out there” but in truth we’ve been handed a batch of pop tunes. And pretty kitschy pop tunes as well.

If you release an alternative album that has questionable impact then fair enough, you can review it on its own terms, its artistic merit. But if you release a pop album that disappears - and this is a pop album - then you’ve aimed for the mainstream and failed. It’s a huge missed opportunity for Noel as well, the way things were set up the time was perfect for a renaissance.

Fair enough, but even so, the social media interaction and talk about Liam's and Noel's albums seems miles apart and it's not just down to PR teams, but the public interest seemed a lot different. Then again, Liam doing what he does on Twitter probably helped a lot. Obviously the music makes a difference. The general public are more likely to be into straight forward music like Wall Of Glass rather than one of Noel's new songs. That's just how it goes.

Intrest was always going to be higher for Liam on this occasion as it was his debut solo record.

Pop doesn't mean chart pop. He clearly did not intend this album for the mainstream, the idea that this is mainstream music is pretty mental to be honest. Not sure what Top 40 you're listening to. Plus it's a really fucking good album so who cares what it is?

It’s a huge missed opportunity for Noel as well, the way things were set up the time was perfect for a renaissance. But i think the style is somewhat irrelevant in a way. Pop or not, he's middle aged and not really a figure in pop music in 2017. Pop music is defined by what young folk are into and that's not really Noel Gallagher. He could release the greatest pop song of his career to date and it still isn't going to get lapped up by people like Taylor Swift's new track/video will. Noel will release his album this coming weekend and 100x more people will be more interested in what's being sung on x-factor on Saturday night. Musically it could be considered "pop" but his place in the music world now is not among mainstream pop music anymore. That's the difference. Popular culture has moved on from Noel Gallagher/Oasis a long time ago.

No way is this album for the mainstream. No chance. Its upbeat but it's not mainstream and it's not "instant" (which usually is a good sign). Anyway time will tell if it's got legs or not.
