I know it's early days, but based on what I've heard so far and the descriptions of the back end of the album this is shaping up to be my favourite post Oasis album to date. It's a pity people are ruining their potential enjoyment of it by getting fixated on scissors and other irrelevant details. I don't think people are ruining their potential enjoyment of the record based on scissors. I think they are making judgements based on the songs they've heard. That's what I would have assumed too, but I've seen FAR too much scissor-discussion.

For an album with really cool artwork, why isn't it on any merchandise for this era? I was just thinking that I'd love to have a shirt with these themes.

Am i the only one who keeps forgetting he has an album out this fucking month?
For every release hes ever done since i become a fan in 2005, i have religiously checked on all updates but this has been like one of those small artists im into that sponsor a link on fucking facebook to keep the word out.
I would love someone to explain this approach to the marketing. This album needs it more than his first two. It's a "different approach" and the songs havent gone down as well in general and by his own admission he is splitting his fan base up. Meanwhile almost 100% of your target market are actively involved in buying gig tickets and albums to your brother. Maybe that's the approach? Maybe someone has said spend fuck all and use the brotherly feud for free marketing and let Liam spend all his budget while we just cash in easily? Fuck knows. It just doesnt make sense.

I stopped trying to solve this very problem because I was told that I “don’t get” PR/Marketing in 2017.

It does seem strange. I don’t doubt his enthusiasm for this chapter of his career and the music that is coming with it but you’d think that enthusiasm would turn in to promotional work and what not. Maybe he thinks the album will sell itself? Maybe he’s happy to let Liam garner attention for both of them? Maybe he’s got a lot of confidence in the loyalty of his core fanbase? Maybe he just has so much money he can afford to not be arsed?

I mean, will it be available at midnight or Friday morning? I don't think nobody knows for sure, but usually it is available at midnight. Btw, midnight in New Zealand is only 14 hours away...so you new Zealand Oasis fans, on your marks!

I don't get it either. I mean, I never got it, but now even less so. Usually he has quite some interviews, media coverage, tv appearances and all. You'd know he had something out soon (or err...in 6 months). He was often in the picture. But now...I expected more promotion and stuff, especially since he uses a new PR company and since his new material is so different. Not all of his fans are as active as we are. I can imagine a lot of them aren't really aware of anything.

He doesn't want to promote it, simply because he wants to keep the expectations low and it's a waste of money. Even if he would've promote it pretty big, it will not sell either way, without a big single. This record being experimental and so far from the songs we've heard, it doesn't seem to have a hit single. So why would he spend any money promote it? He'll just let the record speak for it self.

Yes but there’s nothing at all on UK iTunes regarding the run time of IABW. Only run times are for FK & HM.

Think it means it's a single, but not proof it's coming out Friday unfortunately.
