Not been this excited for a Gallagher related release since BHN. Fact Noel is going out of his comfort zone is exciting. Love HM and the preview is amazing. This album won’t be for Oasis fans still stuck in the 90’s as Noel says, just pleased he’s moved on. To be fair, let's hear it first before we throw the ticker tape. He's promised this TWICE before (DIV, AA) so let's see... (I can't wait... but let's see)

yeah he said his favorite - but not his best- to be exact. That doesn't say much, as the ones he mentioned to be his best aren't actually his best. Let's remember his verdict on Heathen Chemistry - 'best since Definitely Maybe'.

yeah he said his favorite - but not his best- to be exact. In the Moyles interview he actually said: "whether it's my best album is not for me to say".

That kind of "people who wear parkas will hate this" attitude is the built up defence if this album is in fact just quite shit.
Im really looking forward to this album more than i would be if it was just HFB part 2, and i agree that there will be people out there who will shun it just because they hear instruments they arent used to with Noel.
But lets not fucking kid ourselves, i and im sure many others listen to far more "out there" songs than Holy Mountain or anything on that clip so please Noel stop yet again shitting on your fanbase for what they like. You've already tried to make us feel like idiots for buying Be Here Now, Standing On The Shoulder of Giants and Dig Out Your Soul. Dont tell us we cant not like this just because we wear a type of clothing you stopped wearing in 1996.

Q: "Noel, what are your views on Be Here Now?" A: "I can't answer because I don't want to offend people who brought it."

They made us all feel well and truly like whoppers for going out and buying that.

Man: How many of you kids would like Noel to release his standard type of album, like the ones you hear every day? Kids: [clamoring] Oh, yeah! I would! Great idea! Yeah, that's it! Man: And who would like to see them do just the opposite -- getting into far-out sounds involving robots, wizards and magic powers? Kids: [clamoring] Me! Yeah! Oh, cool! Yeah, that's what I want! Man: So, you want a realistic, down-to-earth album... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots? Kids: [all agreeing, quieter this time] That's right. Oh yeah, good.

I've been thinking about why the album is divided in two parts (between Wednesday part 2) In my honest opinion, I think the songs in the first half will be a little bit different from the other half.
I don't know... Maybe it's just because HM is a fucking shit and I try to convince myself that WBTM still can be a good album...

Not sure where to put this, saw Noel Gallagher's High Flying Carpets tonight. Absolutely fucking mega. Some Might Say was played (in normal fashion, not Dolly style), fucking great. Octopus's Garden after Whatever, magic.
Went to the bar when Holy Mountain was played (although was reluctantly tapping my foot along).
Muy bien.
Muy borracho.
Gracias

I'm referencing the fact Noel scoffs at the mentioning of certainly the first 2, and later said only DBTT was a good album after the MG. It's the way he sort of suggests well Oasis fans are idiots anyway if the fanbase dont agree with him on anything.

Noel slagging off BHN bothers me more than anything, mainly because its my favourite album.....and, I think secretly he is actually very fond of it, but doesn't want to share that with anyone, because of the musical snob in him.

Who cares if noel doesn’t like it. John, George and Ringo all hated Sgt. Pepper. Doesn’t mean you can’t like it or others. And I got news for ya, Noel’s always been a terrible judge of music.

Noel not liking certain Oasis albums isn't any different than an actor not liking certain movies.
Alec Guinness hated Star Wars. Ingrid Bergman hated Casablanca. Both made it noted in just about every interview they did. Them not liking those movies don't mean a thing to how I approach those films, and certainly doesn't make me respect those actors any less.

Hell, John dismissed most Beatles material after the split. Doesn't make me less of a Lennon/Beatles fan or make me lose respect. Who fucking cares. I rather have him dismiss his own material or other bands than him having a huge collection of childporn or assaulting his wife or something.

Plus neglecting (or almost ignoring) his son and shooting up heroin. Oh that John Lennon, always the saint and Messias.

It feels to me like there's no one fully behind this album right now. Not Noel, not the fans, certainly not the media world. Initially I was worried Noel would leave it too late but i thought ah, he's a genius. He'll time it to faint perfection then release a monstrous single. HM sucks and now this push feels underwhelming. Come on Noel, this is getting too close to the bone. We need a huge second single just release It's A Beautiful World - it wouldn't surprise me if that was the original plan for the first single. And let's get some momentum rolling because as a fan this is painful well, noel's historically known for making dreadful third albums, only this time he dodnt have the larger than life bsides to salvage it afterwards.
