Yeah, I like The Suburbs better than Funeral. Which says a lot.
That was my entry point for Arcade Fire back in 2010. On albums that were released that feel like seismic releases for the time, that was one of the rare ones that justified the hype.

I really love Win as a vocalist - not in terms of range or power or anything - but because he's only one around for me who can emote so much in his singing without it ever seeming like posturing or posing. It all seems to come from a place from a place of genuine feeling with natural charisma.
Everything Now keeps growing. Quite a banger, as the youth says.

Yeah, I love listening to his voice in that lower register. It always adds that extra bit of mystique amongst the flair of their music.

A bit underwhelmed. Weak melody. Not the attention grabbed a single should be, especially for Arcade Fire.

A bit underwhelmed. Weak melody. Not the attention grabbed a single should be, especially for Arcade Fire. I could see if you said that for "I Give You Power" but for "Everything Now"?. Great production. That melody beat gets inside you quickly. It sounds like the future and past at the same time.

I will say that Everyone Now is far better. Maybe I'll come back in a few days and give it another listen after it settles in my subconscious.

From Win interview with Zane Lowe.
- Album mostly recoded in New Orleans and parts in France at the Daft Punk studio.
- Flute sample is from an older song they discovered at random.
- The flute sample guys son also plays on the record and will play it live with them at some shows.
- Jeff from Portishead worked with the band.
- Markus Dravs also does some production work.
- A lot of songs flow into the next without proper endings.
- Said it's pretty hard to perform live the new album.

I'm not a diehard Arcade Fire fan (Funeral is the only album of theirs that I really love, and even then I don't like the production, and I've heard only a handful of songs from The Suburbs and Reflektor), but this is pretty great! Liking the disco vibes and the groove. Na na na na na na na!!

Don't get people saying there's a lack of melody - probably the most obvious and instant Arcade Fire hook ever.
It's a great lead single if you ask me, much more instant than Reflektor or Black Mirror - might get them some new fans.

Weak song I must say, the melody is ok but also nothing exciting about it, the chorus gets a bit repetitive, I really liked Refletor, but this song is just meh.

Just scored 2 floor seats to MSG. Expensive as shit. What happened to the good old days of $30 tickets? Oh well. I'm gonna have to stand. I'm 35, this is going to hurt. I guess I'll just dance.

I wanted floor seats but thought the kid would be overwhelmed by all the people. She has too much anxiety. Dragging the GF along too. She doesn't know any of the music. She looked disinterested when I bought her to Radiohead but I think she will enjoy this more. I have to sit through Third Eye Blind for her next month.

I saw 3eb back in summer 2000. It was actually a very entertaining show. Stephen was a true show man. I can't believe people are still listening to them 17 years later and that your 15 year old daughter digs them. They were considered on the way out then. Don't know the vibes now.....

I thought a 3eb revival was going on with today's youth. Was puzzling me. Carry on sir!
