Just like joladella said, it's not only for US politics. Look those ultra right wings gathered in Koblenz yesterday. It's hard to believe.

Mean Mrs. Mustard mimmihoppsNo. If I was allowed to vote (I'm 17 and 11 months in March) I wouldn't have vote for PVV. Probably something like this: 1. FvD 2. SGP 3. CDA 4. VVD 5. PVV As you can see, I'm not a leftie, I'm a right wing. That doesn't mean that I'm a racist or homophobic. Wilders isn't the solution. He is stupid, but that lawsuit was wrong. I wouldn't call myself a left wing and I don't call you a racist or homophobic, but I don't and never will support all those right wingers. Their politic point of view and "me first, us first" attitudes and thoughts make me ill. Same as Mexicans, Asians and all those immigrants in the US, this tiny country of ours and so many others in Europe (France, UK, Germany) couldn't have build up the countries without them as it is now.

Anyone see the White House press conference?! What the actual fuck?! Scary as hell. Seeing people defend it because of the "liberal fake news" is even worse. They should be worried too.

His Twitter this morning is once again totally delusional. Then there's the Tweet this afternoon obviously written by a staffer. He really didn't look mentally well doing that speech at the CIA yesterday, it was incoherent and rambling (although most of his speeches are). Very troubling, what will happen when there's a crisis or another country tries to stand up to him ?! Hes so incredibly thin skinned,he won't have the mental ability to stand back and view it from a different angle. It'll be carnage.

I have people tell me all the time "It doesn't mattter who the president is. It won't affect your daily life". When he provokes an attack on US soil or an international incident it will. I feel for all the kids that volunteered for the military. I believe he's going to get a lot of them killed. The biggest irony of him bashing the "fake news" channels is that he pushed the false narrative of Obama being a foreigner for years. The man is a lunatic.

Out of interest as I know you aren't American and not directly affected (at least yet) by his election what is it that appeals to you about Donald Trump? I made my feelings on both candidates clear in the 'U.S. Election' thread with my distrust of Hillary stemming back to the nineties, perhaps in some respects with an Eastern European bias regarding her views on Serbia, but I certainly could not see anything from Trump that indicated he would be anything other than a disaster, and that is before any consideration of his personal behaviour over the decades in business and social situations is taken into account. (I'm not that good in English, so I can't really express my thoughts) I'm not really pro-Trump. I always have some kind of sympathy for the underdog and I think that political correctness is one our biggest enemies. Do you live in freedom when you can't say what you think? It's your own choice to feel offended. I think it's an ethical thing, but that's an other discussion. What the media is doing at the moment, is horrible and disgusting. This is something that I read somewhere in Dutch so I tried to translate it: ''I have a dark suspicion that Trump's administration sometimes could be a blessing in disguise. Due to the upcoming US isolationism Europe is obliged to keep his trousers in all areas; economic, militarily and diplomatically. That can only lead to rigorous (much-needed) reforms in Europe, a better self-awareness and growing a spine, a transition which we sometimes good could come out all together.'' I like 'America first'. Country's should first look after their own people, and I think that what the USA (or what we) did to the Middle East is horrible. I don't really know how people are living in the US, so I can't really say things about that. Of course I don't know if it will be good in 2021. But nobody knows. Let's just wait and judge in 2020. Where did you translate that from? mein kampf? Seriously though, of course people should be able to say what they like and have freedom of speech. If you use that freedom to say things like Trump and Farage do, then in my book you are a total (unt. As for political correctness - people like the afore mentioned bawbags hide behind that phrase to spout their nastiness. Not having any descrimination towards your fellow man is not political correctness, it's called being a decent human being.

But you shouldn't get indicted like Geert Wilders for something he said. I think it was wrong what he said. I disagree with him. And that's why I probably wouldn't vote for him (if I was allowed to vote).

It's hard to believe.Looking at European history for the last two or three centuries including Russia it unfortunately isn't hard to believe. As ever there are complex and multiple reasons for the current economic, political and social states that the continent and individual countries are in, but as Donald Trump has proved people don't want to debate and thrash out solutions over a prolonged period they want easy, instant answers that ideally absolve them of blame whilst putting it onto other people....

Are these marches really about pro women or just anti Trump? I don't remember any of these countries marching against the government of Saudi Arabia for example, who treat Women like shite.

It's always a sorry sight, seeing young people identify themselves as being right-wing. Over simplifications like this highlight the problem with our modern discourse on politics.

There's nothing shameful about being right wing right now
Especially with how embarrassing the left have been carrying on lately
- Destroying property - Burning cars - Assaulting people
All because their crooked candidate didn't win.

Of course anybody doing any of those things is a fuckwit of the highest order regardless of what their political beliefs are. However, using those actions to somehow legitimise supporting who your words appear to be supporting is, well a bit daft.

Supposed to be "pro-woman" yet they discarded the "pro-life" women's voices, and they were not allowed to attend. I'm pro-choice, but this is a little known fact during all of the bliggity boo.

Sounds very similar to some of the issues that have divided UK University campuses in recent years- it's hard to put out a coherent message on freedom and tolerance when the people involved don't always practice it themselves.

Why on earth would pro-life and conservative women wanna attend the protests? Their candidate won....the same group of women content with being paid less than men.
Thanks.

Why on earth would pro-life and conservative women wanna attend the protests? Their candidate won....the same group of women content with being paid less than men. Thanks. I suppose to put across their alternative point of view- I'm pro-choice myself but if the left are going to challenge the right to use the very dated terms then one of the best ways to my mind would be to allow them to show up, speak their piece and then demolish their arguments in front of a captive audience a line at a time. A part of the problem going against certain elements of the left from what I have seen on UK University campuses as an example is the desire to shut down any form of debate if it doesn't agree with their line of thinking- Witness the ban initially imposed on Maryam Namazie for a speech at Warwick University because it might "incite hatred", ignoring that Ms Namazie talks against certain aspects of hatred and that with her background she was as if not more knowledgeable on the matter than the Student Union. This was followed by the dark hilarity of Goldsmith University Feminist Society siding with the Islamic Society over a protest to do with her speaking at their campus- A bit like LGBT movements endorsing the House of Saud given the latter society's philosophies. The point is if you shut down any challenges to the narrative you risk more Brexit and Trump moments as instead of openly hearing and then challenging opposing points of view you essentially bar them on the grounds of some type of offence, which then fuels the belief amongst less politically engaged that those views must have something worthwhile to say since no-one will allow those views or even indeed what may be their own (i.e. the politically disengaged) views to be heard.

Anyway, here's my feelings towards conservative women.... Thanks.

The pro-life organisation that got denounced by the March were heavily against Trump. You honestly think Abortion was the only reason women were against him?

My past posts have made it clear that I heavily dislike both candidates. Still doesn't change the fact that the left have no grounds of shaming their opponents anymore. They have some big reforming to do.

Sounds very similar to some of the issues that have divided UK University campuses in recent years- it's hard to put out a coherent message on freedom and tolerance when the people involved don't always practice it themselves. That goes against liberalism and I just think the potency of the protest was undermined by such narrow minded actions. I know plenty of of pro-life women and from their own rational perspective have come to that conclusion, aren't conservative voters by any means and religion doesn't play a part in their lives either. I'm pro-choice myself but it's sad to think their concerns against a man who advocates sexual assault aren't apparently worthy. And another thing against all these right wing folk who apparently think liberals and those further to the left are only protesting against Trump because he is 'right wing'. For a start, get a grip - if an establishment Republican was voted in, it wouldn't be met with the same revulsion. I don't look at establishment Republican politicians with disgust, mainly disagreement and disillusion, naturally for anyone who is of a different political disposition. The issue I have is that these conservatives on here just don't get that Trump is a vile specimen. I have yet to see any genuine response to his mysoginstic tirade or his racial aggravations on here. If you honestly think that those sickened by all that is just the preserve of liberal/ lefty sanctimonious whingers, or you just think it's a small triviality that can be brushed off, then it says more about your lack of decency as a human being. Will anyone of his apologists/supporters on this forum respond to that behaviour? I doubt it, it will be met with the usual stonewall silence because somewhere hidden in their hearts they know it's not right.
