What's that supposed to mean Presumably that all under 30 Oasis fans like everything, and the over 30s mob like me and him like only the early stuff which I have heartily disagreed with above Who says I'm under 30?

Well if you're over thirty thats 66% of Oasis fans rate DOYS using you, me and rekrelf as the test audience. It's all good

No one likes this record? Speak for yourself. Am I right, that you're a fan of the newer Oasis generation? I'm shure 98% of the fans, who bought for example WTSMG or BHN at the date of release, don't like DOYS... Yes, I'm over 30, and love the first 3 albums. I also like a few songs and B sides from both SOTSOG and HC, but I really don't care for anything from DBTT, and other than the 3 singles from DOYS, the rest of the album is total barrel-scraping, despicable, gutter trash. Comparing DOYS with anything from the first 3 albums is like comparing One Direction to The Beatles.

I'm not saying I'm over 30 and I'm not saying I'm under 30.
Anyway, of course you can't compare DOYS to the first three albums, but neither can you compare SOTSOG, DBTT and HC to those three. I like DOYS and while it's by no means close to the first three, for me personally it's better than the other three. That says more about my taste than anything else.

I don't even consider Heathen Chemistry an album. I agree. It would've been better off as an 8 track EP of some sort with The Hindu Times, Shout it Out Loud, Hung in a Bad Place (very underrated song imo, btw), Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Songbird, Little by Little, Thank You for the Good Times, and Born on a Different Cloud on it, with Idler's Dream as a hidden track after 5 minutes, instead of the pointless 30 minute wait we got, just to hear and even more pointless song in the form of The Cage.

Just compare that list of songs you mentioned there, against the crap that is on DOYS. How anyone can say those selection of songs are weaker than the garbage on DOYS is beyond me.

At least with DOYS, you can make a really brilliant full-length album, without having to add any subpar songs to fill the spaces in between.

I feel that DOYS flows better as an album, it's more cohesive, works better as a unit, even if it singles aren't that strong, much like SOTSOG. HC has better singles and melodies, but as an album it feels more like a bunch of songs throwed togheter, I guess that if you like individual songs you will like HC better.

I love DBTT, and voted for it, but it's nice to see SOTSOG get some love on this poll and this forum. Once you step outside of here, it's not the same, so it's nice to see it be appreciated, since it is a beautifully dark and brilliant album.

This is DOYS we are talking about, right??? Indeed. With the finished, or near-finished tracks (in Come on Outside's case) from the DOYS era, you could make this brilliant album that should've been the track listing for the official release: 1. Bag it Up2. The Turning3. Waiting for the Rapture4. The Shock of the Lightning5. I'm Outta Time6. Falling Down7. To Be Where There's Life (Richard Fearless Production) 8. Come on Outside9. Boy With the Blues10. Soldier OnSoldier On is right around average, imo, so I'd say there are no subpar songs in sight with that track listing.

Voted for SOTSOG with very little thinking.
To be fair, DOYS isn't far away in my list: the couple Ain't Got Muffins - Nature of Reality is simply atrocious, but SOTSOG has Little James on it (which probably is my most hated Oasis track, truly embarrassing stuff imho). Actually I don't mind Put Your Money and I even listen to I Can See a Liar once a year (yeah, it's shit, but still listenable).
My personal highs on SOTSOG (Gas Panic! and Where Did It All Go Wrong?) could figure in my top 10 list, and that's probably the main reason why I voted for Giants.
