Does anyone know what kind of jacket Chris at the end of The Scientist video? Oh yeah, and Coldplay used to be good - but not anymore. Dolce and Gabanna? Same jacket from In My Place video. It was an emerging trend back in 2002. I have a similar jacket I bought from Urban Outfitter back in fall of 2005. I think I wore it once to a Radiohead show in Philadelphia the following summer. Realized what cool was at that show and it wasn't my jacket! Why, was Keith Richards in the crowd or something?

What did this thread did to win best thread of 2015? Exposing how far from grace Coldplay has fallen, and how awesome that former grace used to be.

EVERYONE hates Coldplay. They're gonna absolutely bomb at the Super Bowl. Unless, of course, one of their multi-million fan base turns up As long as they don't just play new shit it could still be a great performance. Viva la Vida has to be played and that's still a genius pop song which will sound great in a big stadium. And now it will have added emotion as Chris can relate very strongly to the story of a fallen king... I used to rule the world, Stocks would fall when I gave the word, Now all our releases are flops, But later, maybe we'll play Clocks.

How many songs are in typical Super Bowl setlist? 5? 6? If so...
1. Yellow 2. Clocks 3. Fix You 4. Viva la Vida 5. Paradise 6. Up&Up
And that would be worth watching. But unfortunately it'd probably be more like:
1. A Sky Full of Stars 2. Hymn for the Weekend 3. Magic 4. Paradise 5. Princess of China 6. Adventure of a Lifetime
And that would make me want to put an axe through the TV.

It's worth reminding ourselves what a brilliant guitar-pop song that is. I'm not sure about Fix You, the first half is a bit downbeat for a sports event. If I could design a realistic setlist: 1. Yellow 2. Clocks 3. Viva la Vida 4. A Head Full of Dreams 5. Charlie Brown 6. Up&Up

I'm quite far removed from being an (American) Football expert but you somehow can't avoid the Superbowl if you own a TV or rarely check even serious news programmes. Anyway, my guess would be: 1. Adventure of a Lifetime 2. Clocks 3. Viva La Vida That's Coldplay broken down to the essence of mass compability.I don't think Yellow would work within that context. Because it's too good.

Similar thing about AHFOD's title track, I'm not sure that they would play a track that wasn't a huge hit. And a hope that they play Fix You, it ain't a Coldplay concert to me if it doesn't have that emotional, delicate moment!

Yellow 2. Clocks 3. Viva la Vida 4. A Head Full of Dreams 5. Charlie Brown 6. Up&Up Since it's Super Bowl L, I'm guessing that the halftime show is going to be a little longer and a little more extravagant. I think that the NFL picked the right band for the task, given the nature of Coldplay's work pre-HFTW imo. So, with that said, I think that this would be a good and realistic setlist... - Yellow
- Paradise (with the Xylobands)
- Clocks
- Adventure of a Lifetime
- Viva la Vida
but I think we're gonna get something like this...
- Yellow
- Viva la Vida
- Adventure of a Lifetime
- Princess of China/Hymn for the Weekend medley (followed by a commercial or something saying "HYMN FOR THE WEEKEND - SINGLE OUT NOW ON ITUNES" )
Yep, I'm with mystoryisgory. If that last setlist happens, the ax may go through the TV.
