First minute or so (ie before Stacey's shite drumming comes in) is great. The other six minutes do nothing for me. Average tune. This. Great intro ruined by the rest of the song.

That your at least objective about I don't want to get into a lengthy debate here but I hate the old timer arguement that you can't have an opinion on something because you weren't around at the time. Can I not have an opinion on WW2 because I didn't live through the 1930s/40s? The notion that someone is a better fan because they were around before you is bullshit frankly. I remember at the oasis gigs I went to in 2008/9 there were tons of idiots banging on about how it was better in the early days instead of enjoying it

But you would have no clue about the reasons behind the actions .....why young fans just make me laugh

I guess the japs bombed Pearl Harbor ....by a sneak attack ....not because FDR put a oil embargo on them ....knew they were coming , stragically pulled about 6 or so battleships out of Pearl harbor before the day ,,,,,and was able to garner support for the usa entering ww2. That's history you don't get taught , you need to have a bit of expierence ..... Or just read a history book.

That your at least objective about At least Seriously though, I've already said it, I'm a fucking fangirl and I know it but I can ve objective when I want I'm not gonna say The Good Rebel is not absolute shit just cause Noel wrote it, I'm not gonna like Revolution Song or Stop The Clocks cause they're Noel's songs etc. If I like something I like it and if I don't I don't Personally I'm not sure I'd put it in my top 10 HFB songs but I still rate it pretty high, and I think is in no way worse than songs like Roll With It or Hey Now, Married With Children etc.

Contrary to the beliefs of some, Noel can still surpass the dizzy songwriting heights of It's Better People

I'd have rathered ASGOG end Noel's debut over STC. That an awful recording of that song.

I can't believe some people didn't live as an Oasis fan through the 90s,makes me feel old :-(
Anyway, I said on another thread that if some of Noels latest songs were released mid 90s,theyd be big hits. It's only because it's not the mid 90s that they're not. Let's just all agree that Noels latest songs are better than anything Liams ever done....hehe.. ... ;-)

Had it been on Heathen Chemistry, instead of She is Love, with some vocals from Liam thrown in there, it would've lifted the album slightly, but as for putting on the HFB album, there is just no place on the album for it. It's a carefree song that seems a bit dad rock, and a little weak, but it's carefree and doesn't give a fuck, so you could almost say that the dad rock and its weaknesses don't matter in some ways because it's not supposed to be the next Some Might Say or anything.

Plus, Liam would've been able to sing the song easily, since BHN was one hell of an album for him vocally. Add on some harmony vocals from Noel, and bad singing wouldn't have been a problem at all. Not to mention, the juvenile lyrics wouldn't matter if the song was considered youthful.

Should've been on the album instead of Record Machine or Stop The Clocks. Not EOTR, which is one of the best songs on the fucking album. I think these 3 songs you mentioned above are the best songs of the album. Why shouldn't RM or STC br on the album?

Although, the outro is quite brilliant, and does a good job to close the album. However, ASGOG would've done better to close the album as one whole song, and not just an outro.

RM is so boring. Nice guitar solo though and I like the "just give me a reason" bit. The rest is pretty boring and awkward (I need a piece of the world and every one inside my mouth??!!!!)

I love how a lot of threads eventually turn into bashing RM and STC. C'mon people, they're not PAITM or TNOR!

When I first heard the song I thought it was one of the greatest things Noel had ever written. Nowadays, I'm not really a huge fan of the song and vastly prefer Alone On The Rope, which I wasn't a huge fan of initially.

Great tune. I've always loved how it just seems to build up more and more. Lyrics are a bit iffy in places but there's definitely some nice imagery. I'd definitely put it up there with Noel's magnum opus, It's Better People.

Over rated on here. The sound check version that we had for ages before this had much more potential that I was left disappointed and have never got over that.
EDIT: Can someone please find that sound check? It was fucking epic.
