So if these Acoustic Gigs actually happen, will they be UK only?

Was the other day the first we heard of these acoustic gigs? Or am I out of the loop?

Pretty sure that video a couple of days back has been the only mention of these acoustic gigs. NME is just quoting that.

I'm optimistic for these acoustic gigs. I hope he keeps the same setlist, maybe switch out a couple of the new songs for some oldies we've heard plenty of times before

While The Song Remains The Same done acoustically would be music to my ears, quite literally.

Started saving for these today. Please Noel, I love your acoustic stuff so much. But I can't make £70 a ticket...

Started saving for these today. Please Noel, I love your acoustic stuff so much. But I can't make £70 a ticket... That was one of my biggest gripes with the O2 gig back in march. The gig wasn't bad by any means but I certainly didn't feel I got value out of the £65 I spent. Very excited to hear more info about these upcoming acoustic shows. Dates / venues / prices. Let's wait and see.

It'll be smaller venues.
Cant see Noel doing an acoustic at the fuckin 02, that'd be ridiculous, and shit.
Maybe there will be a big venue, like the Royal Albert Hall, then smaller ones like Koko or roundhouse, or the Union Chapel.

Hopefully one in Wales, not holding my breath though. Probably be another trip to London.

I'm thinking smaller venues too, quite possible even smaller than Academy venues. If Noel is going for a more intimate run of shows, I can see there being too high demand for shows of such capacity.

I wonder what's the reason for these acoustic shows. Will he have something new to promote by then? Is it something for the fans, kind of like the Dome gig and that one he played the night before the TCT gig? Maybe they're planning to release another DVD and want to include some acoustic performances?
I just hope he meant full acoustic shows in front of an audience and not a couple of 10-minute performances for the radio. That would be disappointing.

What if he's doing those shows to promote the BHN reissue? He could/would play a few gems from BHN in acoustic and it would be fucking great!
I don't get my hopes too high though, he hates that album and we're talking about our lazy Noel...

I don't get my hopes too high though, he hates that album and we're talking about our lazy Noel... My thoughts exactly. Lazy arse would never do a tour unless it was to sell us something on the way out.

I don't get my hopes too high though, he hates that album and we're talking about our lazy Noel... I would be extremely surprised if that's the case. I could see him doing DYKWIM (that would be mindblowing) and obviously Don't Go Away as he likes those songs. Maybe Going Nowhere since it has stood the test of time and it suits the acoustic environment, but the rest? I can't see it, honestly. So it could be an acoustic show with a couple of BHN tracks thrown in for good measure.

The dream scenario would be a Be Here Now...Naked tour. Stripped down versions of songs from the BHN sessions. But that actually requires some effort, so that's not a credible scenario at all.
What I think Noel is doing, is promoting the re-issue by doing the tour, much like Stop The Clocks in '06 (was it '06?). He'll play a couple of songs from BHN (Don't Go Away etc.) and fill the rest of the setlist with stuff we've heard before.
