Glad Federer is out. Has there ever been a more dull and smug looking sportsman? I bet his racket is made out of Nazi gold. Yeah, there has. Quite a few. Lewis Hamilton, and that wee miserable bastard on court right about now, to name but two. Dinna think you could ever accuse Murray of being smug, dull? No, he'd be dull if he was as so robotic like Federer, he's way too erratic for that. Miserable? Well of course, he's Scottish ffs. We love being miserable, can you blame us though? We're shite at everything except sarcasm, self deprecation and drinking. And most of our lives are lived in constant rain and damp. Still doesn't look like a Nazi though, unlike Rog.

I thought it was brilliant from Murray, couldn't be happier for him. His returning is frankly out of this world. And it was a bit of a win for tennis in general as I don't have much time for those with a huge serve but little else.
Federer is still the greatest though.

Great opportunity for Murray. He deserves it tbh. Cilic is on fire at the moment. Big outsider for the Masters, imo !
Djokovic seems to need a break, he exhausted on the court these last weeks. I can see him plaaying the semi finals in two weeks in London, but not winning.
Cilic - Murray for the final at Bercy (even I really appreciate Berdych and Tsonga).

Murray is number 1! Bit of an anti-climactic way to do it but I doubt he gives one single fuck.

Australian Open quarter finals begin this tuesday. So far, the tournament has been quite exciting. Murray and Djokovic went out before the second week, Federer is playing amazingly, Mischa Zverev is the big surprise of the tournament, Nadal hasn't been this solid in a long time and Dimitrov seems to come back on big form.
The 1/4 finals:
Federer - Zverev Wawrinka - Tsonga Raonic - Nadal Goffin - Dimitrov

I'd just like to say that I've been in love with Roger Federer since page one of this thread.
Thanks.

I'm in the latter category. Well, I love tennis but I'm not his fan, obviously because of Djoković. But, I have huge respect for him, he is like MJ of tennis. Remember that Jordan's last shot against Utah, imagine how cool it will be if Federer retires after winning AO. It would be one of the greatest moments in history of all sports.

Doesn't matter if he wins it or not, another grand slam final at the age of 35 is a hell of an achievement. Hopefully he does win it of course.
No doubt he is the greatest player of all time along with Tim Henman.

The Ballet Dancer vs The Bull. The Artist vs The Steamroller. The Maestro vs The Matador.
Federer vs Nadal.
IT'S ON.

Federer - Nadal
Fuck. A classic of a classic. It was too beautiful to be true. Roger playing wonderfully after 6 months of injury, reaching the final 7 years after the last one in Melboure to play who in final: Nadal.
I fear the trap, but I am 100% for Roger. C'mon !

Federer-Nadal Williams-Williams
Fuckin hell, what year is this? I see now that Federer and Nadal played in AO final in 2009 and Serena played against Venus in AO final in 2003, 14 years ago.

Sunday could end up deciding who finishes with the most Grand Slams, although unless Rafa goes two ahead of Roger, I'll still consider Federer the GOAT, mainly due to him dominating on multiple surfaces and the #1 stats he has.
