Why the fuck is Andrew Castle commentating the fucking Wimbledon final? Andy Murray was most people's pick at the start of the tournament?! Fucking N.O.N.S.E.N.S.E.
Anyway, this is a decent quarterfinal. Wait...what?

When I turned the telly on later, Castle was talking us through Murray's mum's hat.

Glad Federer is out. Has there ever been a more dull and smug looking sportsman? I bet his racket is made out of Nazi gold. Yeah, there has. Quite a few. Lewis Hamilton, and that wee miserable bastard on court right about now, to name but two.

When he showed personality as an upcoming player he was portrayed as an English-hating Scot by the press.

Murray's got great character, post match interviews he doesn't reveal much but when you see him doing the other media duties and his twitter feed, he's far better than the majority of stiff wooden sportspeople these days. The trouble is, he's just so uninspiring. Even when he hits one of those amazing topspin lobs of his, I just don't feel anything, there's no electric shock of amazement when it lands in...When Nadal would sprint to a ball and rip it up the line at nine million RPM, grunting like a warrior and then pumping his fist, it's genuinely exciting. When Djokovic runs for a shot that everyone else in the stadium thought was a winner, slides across the court and scoops it out of nowhere for a screamer, it's heartstopping. And when Federer glides elegantly around a ball to hit a shot you didn't know existed without breaking a sweat or disrupting his hair, it's just beautiful. When Murray hits a great pass or an impossible lob, it's cool and impressive, but not stunning or really that affecting. I feel like most people support him because he's British rather than because of his play, which is incredibly annoying - if he was Croatian, how many people would support him in Britain, the way they do the Swiss, Spanish, and Serbian? I have great respect for him, as you must - today was a great performance - and don't even dislike him as a lot do, but I have no investment in him at all, when he had championship point, I didn't really care, which I couldn't say about anyone else. Like the Royal Family, though, it's not really them I dislike, but the patriotism they bring out. Every time I see someone waving a British flag, with a #ComeOnAndy shirt, cheering when the opponent hits a let because they think it's a second serve, my hatred for Britain and support for his opponent increases. Anyway, I'm sure he's a nice enough fella and he's definitely a great player, but when I'm more invested in the Women's Doubles finals than the Men's singles, I know he's probably not for me.

His personality shone through during that charity match against Lendl at Queens a few years ago. It was a rare chance we got to see him relaxed, in front of friends, enjoying himself. From what I've read about his relationship with Nadal, it seems they both have good senses of humour which isn't reflected on court.
