The elimination thread for Chasing Yesterday is a real eye-opener.
I get the feeling people are blindly voting against The Right Stuff simply because they just can't get their heads around how there's a song they can't imagine Liam singing. Come on people, open your eyes - The Right Stuff is an absolute feast for the ears, as soon as you hear that playful squeak in the intro you know you're in for a ride, and from there it only gets better. The bass keeps you on your toes, the verses set you up for Noel's climactic shattered heart and frayed jeans line, and the song then takes off into a frenzy.
I'm not claiming it's the best song on the album. I'm not overhyping it or giving it more praise than it deserves. I just think its getting too much hate from people because it's not the "almost Oasis but who cares it's rock'n'roll and we're madferit" that they're used to!
I don't want to cause arguments or controversies, but nobody wants to see songs voted off unjustly.

It's glorious. This is what I had to say about it when I reviewed it:

It's glorious. This is what I had to say about it when I reviewed it: It's admirable. I never expected Noel to even dip his toes in that sort of stuff, let alone put it on an album.

sorry cant Lie, I dont see the greatness in it, its an alright song, thats it in my book, nothing to with Liam, it fits in the album nicely but it doesnt take off or go anywhere enough, just sort of starts, does the same thing for a while then ends, I possibly would of swapped it for do the damage.
the chorus is good though.
ballad of the mighty I is the sort of modern thing Im more happy with.

I fucking love it, and I love the instrumentation, but the "when your heart gets shattered" part makes me cringe a bit.

It is filler to me, honestly one of the only tracks is hit skip on. I'd throw it in the same category as swamp song and fucking in the bushes. Don't mind listening to those two as much though.
Honestly wish something else had made it to the album instead.

For some people it's filler or crap, for other people (i include myself here) it's the track i listened to the most so far in 2015 (when it comes to new releases).

It's my favourite of the album aside with Riverman.

Good song, but it is highly overrated. It is quite repetitive and monotonous. Great atmosfere and that, but it doesn't take off.

It's the best song in the last 50 years....
You know, take some marijuana and space out to the groove.
God bless.

If you always preferred Headshrinker over Songbird then The Right Stuff probably isn't going to be up your street.

As a song it's shit. As a piece of music it's excellent.

I was blown away after the first listen. Probably my favourite track of the album. Smoooooth vocals as well. Fits well with the woman's voice!

I like the song a lot, don't think i's the best on the album though. And seriously, I hate the whole "people who don't LOVE The Right Stuff aren't over Oasis!"/"They just don't like it because they couldn't imagine Liam singing it!"/"It's just to sophisticated a song for most people here!". Pretty much nobody is hating against the song, come on. I'm very happy Noel has done a song like that, the brass is a delight, the "when your heart gets shattered" bit is magical, but I prefer at least three or four songs on the album because I think they are better. Let's not get all elitist around here.

I have tried to listen to it over and over to make myself like it but can't. As soon as it starts I can't wait til it's over, it completely bores me. (Sorry people.)

While the Songs Remain the Same is way better to me, if we're talkin about unconventional songs.
As someone said before, the Right Stuff is a good piece of music, but not a good tune, and sounds like it : No emotion, but great production. While the Songs Remain the Same have both.
