Good News everyone! And it's not about the Dacia Sandero
If you've preordered the record, you get Glasgow Coma Scale Blues as an instant download on friday. Heard it on the documentary that got taken down, playing over the credits, rocking tune, definitely an album track, not a classic, but will sound great live, the bridge is immense. Definitely worth hearing, much more of a classic links sound. Think boys in the band meets campaign of hate

Just got an email from their pledge music thing saying they're putting the album back a week.
Ffs, waited years for this, somewhere over the railings ticket allocation was a shambles, and not of the good, libertines variety. I've been obsessive about the band and all their events, bought tickets to all their gigs and special events, really talked this album up to people. I just want the copy I paid for ages ago on the date that they said it would be on. I won't get tickets for the special events, just let me have the record please, I paid good money for it.

HMV here supposed to be releasing it Sept 4th, which is tomorrow - a Friday oddly enough. Must be a misprint but I'll go check anyhow. I've also heard Sept 11th and Sept 25th.

Yeah, cannot believe this hasn't been leaked yet. Heard almost all of the songs in one version or another. But really excited about hearing it all properly when that cd arrives. I'm getting a bit paranoid there'll be something wrong with the delivery now. Waited so long for this, it's sad but I'm going to have a considerable amount of time in my schedule to fill when this comes out and I'm not speculating or hunting for updates.

I haven't listened to any of the songs other than Gunga Din yet. I'm waiting for the CD to arrive before I do.

Guess maybe I was right about Heart of the Matter. They're playing it tonight at 7:30 on radio One. Actually think it would have been nice to hear something like Barbarians or Fame and Fortune, where they've played the song live, in order to save some new tunes for the 11th, but hey, new Libertines songs, there's nothing better. This'll keep me going for the next few days.

These guys somehow got a higher score than Oasis ever did on Pitchfork. I figured they would destroy the libertines.

To be fair the lads at pitchfork probably sat around a desk, checked social media trends, weighed up whether The Libertines were currently too cool and that they should rip the record apart or if they were just hipster enough for them to give a decent review. They probably listened to half the record, once.

Yeah but DM and MG were not in real time reviews since Pitchfork didn't exist. Those are retrospective grades.
