Although we've been spoken about this in different threads, I would like to speak here in an exclusive way about this.
Would tune do you prefer as 3rd single?
I would say TDOTL without a dubt!

Dying Of The Light is a definite, I'd say. He has released his new stuff to interest us proper fans. The sort of different stuff that will entice us. Now he will release his classic Noel material to lure in all of the casuals. DOTL or maybe Riverman will 100% be the next singles (though hasn't he already said that The Riverman will definitely be the next one, anyway?)

The Dying of the Light. But a couple times when he has been asked what the radio station should play from the new album he has said Riverman...do I kind of think that may be the next one he releases because of that.
And You Know We Can't go back 4th in the summer when he is playing festivals

You Know We Can't Go Back.
It's a brilliant little pop tune, and imo, should've been the second single, instead of BOTMI. I think it'd be a great single to have now.

The three choices for me would be Riverman, The Dying Of The Light and You Know We Can't Go Back.
Riverman for number three.

I like TDOTL as a song but I don't think I would release it as a single. It's too predictably classic Noel. Chords, melody, structure, sound, etc. So far the two singles released show this is a different kind of album.
To keep with that theme, I would release The Right Stuff and blow people's minds. It could expand his fan base and get some new people to buy the album and rethink just what Noel Gallagher can do.

Awesome song but perhaps not an awesome single. You Know We Can't Go Back would be an ideal choice at some point.

Not Riverman or Dying of the light. They are too mellow and most casual listeners wouldn't like them. I think they would get bored with those 2 songs. I would vote for You Know We Can't Go Back.

The Right Stuff so far by a long shot is my favourite song but I don't think its single material. I'd go with Lock All The Doors.

Won't be: The Right Stuff (too different) The Riverman (wouldn't flow as a single)
Think it shouldn't be: The Dying Of The Light (as much as I like it, think it would be too Noel for a single. What I mean is, it's too predictable for a Noel single)
Should be: You Know We Can't Go Back (the chorus alone will get it plays and not just on radio but also on sport/ tv montages)

I think letting the public know that Noel is still doing the type of songs that he does so well wouldn't be the worse thing they could do. Lots of people love Noel's ballads. I thought they were actually a bit stupid for releasing the same type of song for the first 2 singles. An album this varied and they released the 2 dance influenced songs? If you only heard the singles on the radio the 2 singles definitely give you a skewed idea of what to expect. Like watching a trailer for a movie that makes it look like a comedy...then you go and see it and it turns out it's not REALLY a comedy and all the jokes were in the trailer. lol

The Dying of the Light ticks all the boxes. Good song with a bit of a singalong anthem.
Would love to see a bit of a left field choice though such as Riverman or While the Song Remains the Same - love that song

I wouldn't bother, there's just no point these days. The charts are broken.

i couldn't care less, since the "b-side" will most probably be one of the bonus songs we've already heard.

A few days ago (when Noel was at HMV Glasgow, I think) I read on some forum that Noel said Riverman will be the next single. He said it to a fan who asked him when this person was taking autographs.

I think it's been mentioned in a few places that Riverman would be the next single, which is a slightly puzzling choice. I think You Know We Can't Go Back will be the fourth single judging by promos that have been sent out...

I'd say Riverman will be the 3rd, since Noel already states he wants it as one. Probably May we will know about the next one, then again maybe in April. You Know We Can't Go Back sounds like a great summer tune to blast in your car. If it is the 4th single, I can see it arriving in late June or sometime in July.

Girl with x-ray eyes should be a single ! Love that tune. But since Noel's already ruled it out off the setlist, it would be a strange choice for a single. I'm gonna go with YKWCGB too. With TDOTL not far behind.
