Been listening to the new album and to me The Mexican sounds like a reworking of Wind Up Dream.
The chorus from You Know We Can't Go Back also reminds of the chorus from Meaning Of Soul.
Anyone agree or notice any other Liam / Beady Eye rip offs?

The Mexican is most certainly a BDI song, I'll grant him that.

Beady's Mighty Eye would've sounded like a great Beady Eye song.

The drums and the chorus rhythm in YKWCGB are indeed rather similar to TMOS, but I doubt it was intentional.

Yeah I'm sure Noel has taken inspiration from them. After two succesful albums by them he must have had an epiphany. He suddenly realized he can't write songs for shit, and that LAG are way superior songwriters.
Are you even serious?

Some of the backing vocals on Mexican(?) are identical to World Outside My Room
(some of the ahhss..) (could be Do The Damage)

The demo of O'Lord from the NGHFB sessions sounds EXACTLY like love like a bomb from DBTT

The Dying Of The Light is basically Kill For A Dream part two. Or Little James part three,in fact.

I think the album cover is the most influenced by Beady Eye.
Think about it.
Beady Eye put a person on their album cover, Noel responds by also putting a person on the Chasing Yesterday cover - however, in a typically Noel style, that person is him.

That must be some sort of conspiracy thing! Or it's a dig at Liam, like apparently every move he makes. Every vow he breaks. Every smile he fakes, every claim he stakes he'll be watching him.

You can say what you want, but the 'it's alright' is the same in both songs. Don't know if it was unintentional, after all, Noel played TMOS every gig for about 5 years.
YKWCGB also borrows from IHITIK

This proves beyond all doubt that they both have eyes on each other. The question is, which one is currently keeping it the most dangerous?
